GANT-MILLET

LAPLACE – Velma Lee Gant-Millet, 63, a native of Gramercy and a resident of LaPlace, died May 9. She was the wife of Brian K. Millet.

She is survived by children Hope, Kimberly, Chad and Aaron Gant.

She is also survived by siblings Martha McZeal, Selina, Ike Jr., Harold, Ernest and Frank Grant, son-in-law Henri Miles, aunt-in-law Daphine Millet, nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ike and Irma Burden Gant, a child Davien Gant, siblings Rosemary Martin, Alma Gant Jackson and Alvin Gant and grandchild Kristi Gant.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at New Zion Full Gospel Church, Gramercy, with interment in St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Paulina.

The Baloney Funeral Home of Garyville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. at the church.

LIPPS

RESERVE – David Louis Lipps Jr., 35, a native of Reserve and a resident of Houston, Texas, died May 7. He was the son of David Lipps Sr. and Laura Lipps.

He is survived by his children Jacoby Parquet and Cristian Louis Lipps.

He is also survived by his siblings Kawan and Nia Lipps, stepsisters Alysia Reed and Lana Turner, aunts and uncles Lydia (Walter) Gerard, Tyrone (Bettye) Miller, Wilfred Miller, Ida Mae Stanton, Glenda Johnson, Robert (Zenobia) Taylor II, Warren (Stephanie), Albert, Michael (Bernadine), Donald and Larry (Loretta) Lipps, great-aunts and uncles Clarence (Celeste) Perrilloux Sr., Rita P. Dents and Leona Washington and godfather Harry Robottom Jr.

He was preceded in death by grandparents Wilfred and Pauline Miller and Albert and Louisa Lipps and godmother Lydia Perrilloux.

Services were held May 13 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in St. Peter Cemetery, Reservre.

LOUQUE

PAULINA – Bernice Marie Louque, 90, a native and resident of Paulina, died May 11. She was the daughter of the late Carlo and Emiliana Deslatte Louque.

She is survived by siblings Earline (John) Von Hassel, Tracy Poche, Lincoln (Grace) Louque, Melvin (Verly) Louque and Hudson (Audrey) Louque.

She is also survived by godchildren Wayne Melancon and Sherlyn Summers.

She was preceded in death by siblings Priscilla Melancon Logan, Percy, Murphy, Herman, Sherman and Garfield Louque.

Services were held May 16 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment in the church mausoleum.

MILLET

NORCO – Walter Edgar Millet Jr., 83, a resident of Norco, died May 13. He was the husband of Gloria Millet, and by first marriage of the late Hazel Caillet Millet.

He is survived by children Walter &#8220Butch” Millet III, Emily Millet Beauchamp, Philip Millet, Ivan Millet, Teresa Millet Meyer, Lester Millet and Martha Millet St. Pierre.

He is also survived by 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.

H.C. Alexander Funeral Home of Norco is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 10 a.m. at the funeral home.

PELLISSIER

GAYVILLE – Marlon C. Pellissier, 63, a native and resident of Garyville, died May 6. He was the husband of Sybil Amedee Pellissier.

He is survived by his children Rick (Trina) Pellissier and Holly P. Sparks.

He is also survived by a sister Sharon Cotham, grandchildren Aaron Sparks, Curtis and Cody Pellissier, four step-children, three step-great-grandchildren, and brothers and sisters-in-law Mike Cotham, Janice LeBouef, Elise Amedee and Danny Roussel.

He was preceded in death by his parents Curtis and Louise Pellissier, sister Gaynel Roussel and brothers-in-law Ronald and Jimmy Amedee.

Services were held May 9 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

ROBERTS

NORCO – Sally Rodriguez Roberts, 58, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Norco, died May 10. She was the wife of the late Wayne Roberts Sr.

She is survived by children Michelle R. Bergeron and Wayne (Stephanie) Roberts Jr.

She is also survived by her mother Eunice Granier Rodriguez, sister Eunice &#8220Tuddy” Chaisson and grandchildren Cody Bergeron, Jessica, Caitlin, Mason and Shayna Roberts and Nicole Lumetta.

Services were held May 15 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment in St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.
