SCC softball picks up a 10-4 win against DHS in home opener

LAPLACE — The Lady Comets got in a win over Destrehan to open their home softball schedule this weekend despite some soggy weather, getting a 10-4 victory over the Lady Wildcats on Saturday.

A number of SCC players posted numbers on offense in the game, as Amanda Savoie had a good game from the batter’s box, going three-for-four with a triple and two RBIs. Getting her second start at catcher, Sophmer Lauren Coniglio went 2 for 2 at the plate (including a double) with two walks and an RBI.

Ashley Trosclair was the winning pitcher in the game with seven strikeouts and two walks while giving up five base hits. Katie Tregre also contributed to the win, going two-for-three in the game with a walk and an RBI. Also getting base hits were Junior Addy Reine (one RBI), and Cortney Millet Freshman 2 RBI’s.
