LAPLACE — J. Albert Bailey, 73, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 27.

He was the husband of Karen Jacob Bailey, and by first marriage of the late Alice Kinler Bailey, father of Joey, Johnny and Jason Bailey and Kim Judd.

He was also the son of the late Albert and Victorine Bailey, and brother of Ernest &#8220Buddy” Ferrel, Harold Bailey, and the late Ida Mae Vice.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 29 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

BLYTHE

LAPLACE — Sybil Campaigne Blythe, 89, a native of Wisconsin and resident of LaPlace for 40 years, died Jan. 29.

She was the wife of the late David Blythe, and mother of David Jr., Robert, Bruce and Brian Blythe.

She was also the sister of Jack Campaigne and Audrey Bender.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

She was a U.S. Army nurse in World War II.

Services were Jan. 31 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

BOUDREAUX

PAULINA — Drozina Bernadette Boudreaux, 91, a native of Lutcher and resident of Baton Rouge, died Jan. 23.

She was the mother of Janet Guedrey, Paul Boudreaux, and the late Alvin Boudreaux Jr.

She was also the daughter of the late Emile Matherne and Elice LaGeaux, and sister of Ruth Remy.

Memorial services were held Jan. 30 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with private interment. Alexander Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

CONRAD

LAPLACE — Clifton &#8220Boo” Conrad Sr., 66, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 28.

He was the husband of Brynn Brady Conrad and father of Clifton Conrad Jr.

He was also the son of the late Peter Sr., and Leonie Jouty Conrad, and brother of Peter Conrad Jr.

He is also survived by one grandchild.

Services are today at 10 a.m., at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Visitation starts at 9 a.m. Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

GUILLARD

HAHNVILLE — Allen Guillard, 33, a native of New Sarpy and resident of New Orleans, died Jan. 25.

He was the father of Brittany and La Quetta Stephenson.

He was also the son of the late Leroy Guillard and Sally Mae Bailey, and brother of Lynette, Paula, Camencite, Lenora, Rose, Adam, Leroy Jr., Elliotte, Joshua and Wayne Guillard.

Services were Jan. 31 at Robottom Mortuary, Hahnville, with interment at New Sarpy Cemetery.

ORY

GARYVILLE — Dorothy Vicknair Ory, 78, a native and resident of Garyville, died Jan. 27.

She was the wife of the Roger Ory Sr., and mother of Roger Ory Jr., Karen Wilson and Kyle Ory.

She was also the daughter of the late Emile Sr., and Clothilde Millet Vicknair, and sister of Harold and E.J. Vicknair Jr. and Lois Caillouet.

She is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 30 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Millet-Guidry Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.

ROYAL

RESERVE — Herbert &#8220Ta-Belly” H. Royal Sr., 78, a native of St. Rose and resident of Montz, died Jan. 19.

He was the husband of the late Leona Etienne Royal, and father of Mary Watkins, Patricia Smith, Monica Ingram, Herbert Jr., Kevin and Jonas Royal.

He was also the son of the late Mary Rollins and Alexander Royal, and brother of the late Cecile Roberts, Rachel Johnson, Alexander and Christopher Royal.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 28 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Robottom Mortuary in charge of arrangements.

THOMAS

LAPLACE — DeJuan M. Thomas, 28, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 24. He was the son of David Thomas Sr. and the late Darlene A. Thomas, stepson of Lynette M. Charles, and brother of Devana Lewis, Aunjelah Thomas and David Thomas Jr.

Services were Jan. 28 at Rising Star Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Robottom Mortuary in charge of arrangements.
