LULING – Wilton &#8220Stretch” Philip Comardelle, 65, a native of Des Allemands and a resident of Luling, died Dec. 18. He was the husband of Geraldine R. Comardelle.

He is survived by his children Wendy C. Babin, Crystal C. Benoit, Karen Jordan, Shannon Walker, Joe Hidalgo Jr., Troy, Jeffrey and Dustin Comardelle.

He is also survived by his siblings Elma C. Bageron, Wyonna Romero, Mary Ann Pickette, Kathleen &#8220Tina” Comardelle, Mary Dehart, Marie Baker, Cecile Jacobs, Gerald, Leslie, Rickey, Gary, Mike and Wilton P. Comardelle and grandchildren Bobby, Joseph III, Brett, Hanna, Chloe and Dusty-Lynn.

Services were held Dec. 22 at the Mothe Funeral Home Chapel, Marrero, with interment in Restlawn Park Cemetery, Avondale.

DICHARRY

GRAMERCY – Carey James Velt Dicharry Sr., 70, a native of Convent and a resident of Gramercy, died Dec. 20. He was the husband of Carol Faucheux Dicharry.

He is survived by his children Carey Jr., David (Stacie), Marc (Leslie), Carolyn Dicharry.

He is also survived by his siblings Marjorie Martin, Geraldine Remondet, Dorothy Guidry, Merlyn Dicharry, Elaine Tramonte, Roy and Ralph Dicharry, grandchildren Benjamin, Brennan, Michael, Scotti, Jacie, Claire, Julie and Codi Ann and great-grandchild Tasia Marie.

He was preceded in death by his parents Benjamin and Felicie Donaldson Dicharry and siblings Allen, B.J., Gerald, Lloyd, Donald and Floreine.

Services were held Dec. 22 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment in St. Joseph’s Mausoleum, Paulina.

GILES

DESTREHAN – Camie Ann Peck Giles, 38, a native of Metairie and a resident of Kenner and Destrehan, died Dec. 20. She was the wife of Gene Giles, Jr.

She is survived by her children Kristi Nicole Turner and Devin Joshua Giles.

She is also survived by her parents Robert Sr. and Elaine Gulino Peck, siblings Robert Jr., Gregory Peck and Adair P. Martin and grandparents Salvador and Antoinette Zito Gulino.

She was preceded in death by grandparents Josephine White and Robert Parker Peck.

Services were held Dec. 23 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment in the church mausoleum.

JOHNSON

LUTCHER – Charlotte Johnson, 48, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Dec. 16. She was the daughter of the late Alex Sr. and Henrietta Johnson.

She is survived by her children Latonya, Tiffani, Phillip, Juan and Brenda Johnson.

She is also survived by her siblings Eloise, Gwendolyn and Alex Johnson Jr., grandmother Felicia Johnson and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter Danielle Johnson, grandfather Ed Johnson and siblings Emelda Johnson-Meyers, Rosalind and Elmira Johnson.

Services were held Dec. 23 at New Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church, Gramercy, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina.

JOSEPH

LAPLACE – Lucille Joseph, 67, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 16. She was the wife of Ernest Joseph Sr.

She is survived by her children Marie Snyder, Bernadette Alvis, Dianne Joseph and Wanda (Wilmer) Bourgeois.

She is also survived by her siblings Hefert, Roy and William Fobb, Bessie Mercier, Hilda Molton and Shirley Millet, 18 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Shelton and Nitsie Fobb, son Earnest Joseph Jr. and siblings Herbert and Howard Fobb, Corita Powers, Hazel Wilkens, Gertrude Hamilton, Francis Stokes and Daisy Joseph.

Services were held Dec. 22 at Providence Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment in St. John Memorial Garden, LaPlace.

LEVERON

ST. AMANT – Johnny Gale Leveron, 47, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of St. Amant, died Dec. 20. He was the husband of Liz Hebert Leveron.

He is survived by his children Dawn (Dirk) Poche, Sarah, Shelby and Derrick (Fiancé Heather Triche) Leveron.

He is also survived by his parents Johnny and Merrill Porrier Leveron and siblings Janet Leveron, Denise (Jerry) Gautreaux and Todd (Renee) Leveron.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Felix and Bernice Porrier, Bertha and Sam Moore.

Services were held Dec. 23 at Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, with interment in New River Methodist Church Cemetery, St. Amant.

LOZANO

LAPLACE – Joe Lozano, 66, a native of Mississippi and a resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 19. He was the husband of Elleen Lozano.

He is survived by his children David (Lisa) Lozano, Danny (Cindy) Lozano and Damon Lozano.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Brandon, Mike, Danielle, Michelle and Angelle Lozano.

Services were held Dec. 22 at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with interment in St. John Memorial Garden, LaPlace.

PAUL

LAPLACE – Edward Paul Jr., 50, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 18. He was the legal guardian of Lawrence J. Duhe Jr.

He is survived by his mother Mary Gray.

He is also survived by his siblings Laura Jenkins, Emelda Pierce, Erik Gray, Richard Gray and Frank Paul, sister-in-laws Diana Gray and Charlene Paul, brother-in-laws Roosevelt Jenkins and Willie Pierce, best friends Donald Ray Williams and Tyrone Lennix, eight aunts, three uncles and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father Edward Paul Sr. and a brother James Gray.

Services were held Dec. 23 at Providence Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment in Providence Rest Haven Cemetery, LaPlace.
