EDGARD – Lucille Brown, 66, a native of Edgard and a resident of Marrero, died Dec. 11. She was the wife of the late Chester Brown.

She is survived by her children Calvin, Alvin Walker, Jeanine Robertson, Chad and Jonathan Brown.

She is also survived by her siblings Carolyn Wallace, Gloria Jackson, Darnell Jackson, Debbra Borne, Andrew Irven and Milton Alexander, grandchildren Michelle, Makela, Hykeem, Elicia, Alexis, Aaliyah and Jay’ione, great-grandmother of Ron, De’Zhane, Destiny and Nyzer.

She was preceded in death by her parents Perkin and Ethel Alexander and siblings Ethel Louis, Sedonia Bailey, Warren and Perkin Alexander Jr.

Services were held Dec. 19 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Marrero, with interment in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Mausoleum, Edgard.

DUHE

PAULINA – Antoinette T. Duhe, 91, a native of Garyville and a resident of Paulina, died Dec. 17. She was the wife of the late Amelus F. &#8220Road Burner” Duhe.

She is survived by her children Brenda (late Eldridge) Duhe Martin and Joyce (Albert Sr.) Duhe Laiche, Raymond (Edna Mae), Lionel (Deany) and Amelus (Boo) Duhe.

She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 38 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents James and Marcelite Haydel Troxler and siblings Leona Oubre, Ezlida Cox, Antoine and Edwin Troxler Sr.

Services were held Dec. 20 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment in St. Peter’s Mausoleum, Reserve.

JOHNSON

GRAMERCY – LeShon P. Johnson, 35, a native and resident of Gramercy, died Dec. 16. She was the daughter of Frank and Alice Johnson.

She is survived by her son DeWuan Jermain Johnson.

She is also survived by her siblings Frank Jr., Bernadette, Ava, Richard, Troy and Timothy Johnson, Trenell Patterson and Adrienne Gardner.

She was preceded in death by a brother Freddie Johnson.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at New Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church, Gramercy, with interment in St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina.

Hobson Brown Funeral Home of Garyville is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. at the church.

LILJEBERG

LAPLACE – Allen Joseph Liljeberg, 85, a native of New Orleans and a resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 17 . He was the husband of the late Doris Belsome Liljeberg.

He is survived by his daughter and her husband Arlene and Christopher Workmon.

He is also survived by two grandchildren Justin Allen and Ella Marie Workmon.

He was preceded in death by his parents John and Ada F Roussell Liljeberg and siblings Agnes Nussbaum, John and Dave Liljeberg and half-sister Francis Burgess.

Services will be held today at 11:30 a.m. at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with interment in Holy Rosary Cemetery, Hahnville.

VACHERIE – Shane Patrick Oubre, 35, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Prairieville, died Dec. 14. He was the husband of Shirline Saulny Oubre.

He is survived by his daughter Brittany Kristin Oubre.

He is also survived by his parents Larry and Paulette Sorapuru Oubre, siblings Duray Aaron, Larry Jr., Schillesci Maria Oubre and Jare Noel Oubre, mother-in-law Meridy Saulny, brother and sister-in-law Kellye Oubre, Daina Saulny, Dawn Saulny, Ezetta Saulny, Glenn Saulny Jr., Leon Saulny Sr., godparents Diane Sorapuru Plauche and Leonard Sorapuru II.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Pauline Francois and Leonard Sorapuru Sr., Clamonce Cayette Oubre and Wilkerson Oubre Jr., two uncles Robert Oubre Sr. and Wilkerson Oubre Jr.

Services were held Dec. 19 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment in the church cemetery.

VACHERIE – Willis Joseph Poirrier, 74, a native and resident of Vacherie died Dec. 15. He was the husband of Loretta Jane Veillon Poirrier.

He is survived by his children Jean Willis (Lisa) Poirrier II, Cindy Poirrier (Lyndsay) Job, Pam Poirrier (Michael) Buchtel-Hussey and Tesa Poirrier (Charles) Becnel.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Cammie P. Delaune, Jean Poirrier III, Andree Poirrier, Lindsey and Caroline Buchtel, Samantha Hussey, Stence and Tanzy Jean Becnel and great-grandchildren Tate and Sarah Delaune.

He was preceded in death by his parents Jean Willis and Freida Falgoust Poirrier.

Services where held Dec. 19 at St. Phillip Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment in Our Lady of Peace Cemetery, Vacherie.

LAPLACE – Annabel Millet Stein, 87, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 15. She was the wife of the late Andrew &#8220Bum” Stein.

She is survived by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Noe and Noelie Millet, siblings Denise M. Perilloux, Antoinette Millet, Ernest Millet, May M. Tregre Sicard, Lillian M. Mobile.

Services were held Dec. 19 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with interment in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

TURNAGE

LAPLACE – Mary Audler Turnage, 49, a native of New Orleans and a resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 15. She was the wife of Michael Earl Turnage.

She is survived by her children Shannon W. Neal, Jonathan M. Willis and stepdaughter Dacharie T. Luke.

She is also survived by her siblings Rita A. Hilton, Linda M. Mathews, Dianne A. Eschette, Raymond, Edward J. III, William and Michael Audler, grandchildren Paul Joseph Neal Jr. and Darlan M. Luke.

She was preceded in death by her parents Edward J. and AnnaMae Autrey Audler.

Services were held Dec. 19 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with private interment.
