LUTCHER – A fund has been established at Regions Bank for burn victims of a recent house fire in Lutcher that left one dead and two in critical condition.

The fire occurred on Dec 9 at the residence of Lee Charles Delmore and his two sons leaving Delmore and one son in critical condition and one son dead.

Delmore’s sister Shelia Scott and niece Patreece Maddie are responsible for setting up the fund.

Delmore is in a burn ward in Baton Rouge for treatment of serious burns as well as smoke inhalation according to Scott.

&#8220Lee is in very critical condition,” Scott said. &#8220His lungs are damaged real bad from inhaling a lot of smoke which is definitely a big setback for his recovery.”

Delmore was able to rescue one of his sons, 2, but was unable to rescue his youngest son, 1, who perished in the fire. Delmore sustained the damage to his lungs in an attempt to save both children.

Delmore’s surviving son is in a burn ward in Houston. He is a recent recipient of a skin graph due to damages from the fire according to Scott, who has not been able to speak to either her brother or nephew since the fire.

Scott added that the family of Delmore would like to thank everyone for their wonderful support, prayers, donations and inquiries. All donations are welcome and can be made at any Regions Bank.
