RESERVE — The Louisiana Technical College in Reserve will begin a pre-nursing program at the school beginning in January 2006.
To be eligible to enroll, students must first take the Compass placement test and meet the requirements to be admitted into the Practical Nursing Program.
The program will offer computer-based programs to strengthen the students’ skills in math, reading, and science in preparation for the nursing program. Students will also be able to enroll in the pre-requisites of Computer Literacy and Freshman Orientation and have these completed by August 2006 when the next nursing class begins. Compass testing is done once a week at the school and pre-registration is required.
The Practical Nursing Program is a 15-month program. Call the school for more information.
