MT. AIRY – Autry Alexis Sr., a native and resident of Mt. Airy, died Nov. 8.

He was the son of the late Rebecca and Rayfield Alexis Sr.

He is survived by his children Autry (Eloise) Jr., Carmen and Tanya Alexis.

He is also survived by his sister Janetta Nelson.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Leona Baloney, Maryland Eugene, Webber, Odeal, George Sr., Ernest, Anthony Sr., Rayfield, Frank Sr. and Hoover Alexis.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at The St. Mark Baptist Church, Mt. Airy.

Bardell’s Mortuary of Mt. Airy is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. at the church.

ARROYO

NORCO – Marguerite Arroyo, a native of Norco and a resident of Jefferson Parish, died Nov. 2.

She was the daughter of Agnes D. Lowry and the late Edward S. &#8220Ned” Lowry.

She is survived by her siblings Nelwyn (Charles) Baxley, Richard, Edward (Claire) and Claire (Keller) Groves.

She is also survived by 10 nieces and nephews, and several grandnieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a nephew Kelly Baxley.

Services were held Nov. 8 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Norco, with interment in St Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.

GARDNER

PARADIS – Clarence Gardner, 60, a native of Patterson and a resident of Paradis, died Nov. 5.

He is survived by his children Wayne Smith Gardner and Lucille Whiley Gardner.

He is also survived by his siblings Delores G. Hensley, Rita G. Bussey, Shirley G. Griffin, Willie, Ernest and Kenneth Gardner, sister-in-law M. Gardner and brother-in-laws Leroy Hensley, Henry Bussey and Charlie Stewart.

Services were held Nov. 11 at Third Zion Baptist Church, Raceland, with interment in the church cemetery.

GAUDET

EDGARD – Ronald James &#8220Rip” Gaudet, 54, native and resident of Edgard, died Nov. 9. He was the husband of Glenda Pierre Gaudet.

He is survived by his children Jarrett Jude (Tashana) and Haven Christopher.

He is also survived by his mother Clara Williams Gaudet, siblings Charleuise G. Levi, Gail G. Watson (Wilbert), Cheryl Ann Gaudet, Harold Gaudet, Roselyn G. McKay, Spencer Gaudet (Joan), Kirk Gaudet (Lisa), Crystal Magee (Ronald and Ivan Gaudet, grandchild Jashan Joseph, father and mother-in-law Rufus and Anita Pierre and brother-in-laws Warren Pierre (Nora), James Pierre (Katherine and Darrel Pierre (Jennifer).

He was preceded in death by his father Emile Gaudet Jr. and two siblings Moriel Gaudet and Partricie Gaudet.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. at Canaan Baptist Church, Killona, with interment in the St. John the Baptist Catholic Church Mausoleum, Edgard.

GELPI

NORCO – Arthur Paul Gelpi, a resident of Norco, died Oct. 28.

He was the son of the late Arthur and Thelma Troxler Gelpi.

He is survived by numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his siblings Gerald Gelpi and Gloria Gelpi Perkins.

Services were held Nov. 7 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment in the church mausoleum.

KELLY

NEW ORLEANS – Warren Kelly Sr., 49, a native and resident of New Orleans, died Nov. 6.

He was the son of the late Ceasar and Ruth Charles Kelly.

He is survived by his son Warren Kelly Jr.

He is also survived by his siblings Shirley Mae Smith, Olivia Jackson and Ceasar

LAPLACE – Angele Rolling Lawler, 33, a native of New Orleans and a resident of LaPlace, died Oct. 29. She was the wife of Salvadore Joseph Lawler.

She is survived by her stepson Seth Lawler.

She is also survived by her parents Sharlene Berner Rolling and Larry Lee Rolling, mother-in-law June Clesi and siblings Christine, Donald, Terence and Matthew Rolling.

She was preceded in death by her father-in-law William Lawler.

Services were held Nov. 7 at L.A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, Kenner, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery.

CONVENT – Ada Schexnaydre Louviere, 99, a native of Brusley and a resident of Convent, died Nov. 6. She was the wife of the late Edmond J. Louviere.

She is survived by her children Martha Jane (Bill) Wooddall, Mary Sheets and Edmond (Shirley) &#8220T-Poke” Louviere Jr.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Pam Bordelon, Chad Louviere, Rodney Louviere, Derek Sheets, Robert Wooddall and Stacey LeBiche and great-grandchildren Ken, Kelsie, Caid, Kyleigh, Rachael, Robert, Corey and Brandon.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Eva Schexnaydre, a daughter Dianne Blanchard and a son-in-law Aubrey Sheets.

Services were held Nov. 10 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Convent, with interment in St. Mary’s Mausoleum, Union.

LUTCHER – Edward &#8220Buck” Miller, 74, a native of Hester and a resident of Lutcher died Nov. 4.

He was the former husband of Alberta &#8220Pinkie” Skidmore.

He is survived by his children Ricky Morgan, Cornell, Jermaine and David Miller and Travis Patterson.

He is also survived by his siblings Dorothy Banks, Mary Joseph, Louise Washington and Fredrick Miller, several grandchildren and a daughter-in-law Gwendolyn Morgan.

He was preceded in death by his parents Freddy and Viola Miller, two children Doretha and Theresa Miller and two siblings Doretha Armont and Freddy Miller Jr.

Services were held Nov. 10 at Evergreen Baptist Church, Paulina, with interment in Antioch Cemetery, Paulina.

ROUSSEL

LAPLACE – Gleason &#8220Sonny” Roussel Jr., 74, a native of LaPlace and a resident of Kenner, died Nov. 6. He was the son of the late Dolores Brown and Gleason E. Roussel Sr.

He is survived by his children Gleason III, John, Jean, Jennie and JoAnn.

He is also survived by his siblings Dolores Lange and Jean Dixon and numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

NEW SARPY – Herman Joseph &#8220Puney” Schexnaydre, 68, a native and resident of New Sarpy, died Nov. 2.

He was the husband of Merlene Poche Schexnaydre.

He is survived by his children Olivia (Michael) Denoux, Jerome (Gayle) Schexnaydre, Richard (Sherry) Schexnaydre, Ramona (Mark) Duhe and Rock (Stacey) Schexnaydre.

He is also survived by a sister Mable Schexnaydre and his grandchildren Candice and Courtney Denoux, Jeremy, Shelby, Zachary, Avery, Rock Austin and Madelyn Schexnaydre.

He was preceded in death by his parents Rock Louis and Marie Olivia Zeringue Schexnaydre and his siblings Louis, Wilfred, Andre and Daniel Schexnaydre and Mildred Schexnaydre Weber.

Services were held Nov. 6 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment in the church mausoleum.

CONVENT – Shanikra &#8220Neeky” Striggs, 27, a resident of Convent, died Nov. 7. She was the daughter of Roger Striggs and Joyce Harris.

She is survived by her son Zimbary Wayne Denet Jr.

She is also survived by her stepfather Sanders Harris, siblings Darriaus and Kuwan Striggs, grandmother Irma Shelvin Jacque, nephew Darriaus Jr., sister-in-law June Striggs and best friends Monique Weber, Latoya Franklin and Danisha Clayton.

Services will be held today at noon at Christian Assembly Fellowship, Gonzales, with interment in Antioch Cemetery, Paulina.

ST. CHARLES – Paul Francis Terrebonne Jr., 33, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Harahan and St. Charles Parish. He was the husband of Gina Becnel Terrebonne.

He is survived by his two children Peyton Paul and Heather Marie Dufrene Terrebonne.

He is also survived by his parents Yvonne Nickens Pichoff and Paul Francis Terrebonne Sr., stepparents Leann Terrebonne and Randy Pichoff, siblings Shawn (Michael) Anderson, Jason Becnel, Webster (Delina) Terrebonne and Garrett (Jessica) Terrebonne, stepsister Shannon Pichoff Truxillo, stepbrother Shawn Joseph Pichoff, nephews Alan Kirkfield III, Tye Anderson, Julian Terrebonne, Dillon Truxillo, Sage Pichoff, Tyler Cambre and Austin Becnel and nieces Abigael Anderson, Maddigan Terrebonne and Darian Truxillo.

NEW ORLEANS – Yvonne T. Tureaud, 90, a native of New Orleans and a temporary resident of LaPlace, died Nov. 2.

She was the wife of the late Julius Tureaud.

She is survived by her son Wayne Tureaud.

She is also survived by her siblings Octavia English, Varona Hall, Shirley Relf and Jocelyn Corbett.

She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Yvonne Tenette, and two brothers Clarence and Joseph Tenette Jr.

Services were held Nov. 9 at New Wine Christian Fellowship, LaPlace, with interment in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, New Orleans.

WHITE

RESERVE – Adrian White, 40, a native of Garyville and a resident of Reserve, died Nov. 6. He was the son of the late Helen Sanders.

He is survived by his siblings Michael, Kenneth, Stacey and Tyrone White.

He is also survived by his aunt Philomon Johnson and other aunts, family and friends.

He was preceded in death by two siblings Victor and Noel White.

Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at True Light Baptist Church, Garyville, with interment in Marathon Bishop Cemetery, Garyville.
