HAHNVILLE — The American Red Cross Hahnville financial assistance site will open Sunday, October 9 off Louisiana Highway 3127.
The site will open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. seven days a week.
People applying for Red Cross assistance are asked to head north on LA 3127 from Interstate 310 and take a right onto Louisiana Highway 3160.
The drive-through service center is only prepared to handle clients arriving in motor vehicles at this time.
There will be no food or supplies distributed. You will be asked to fill out paperwork for the financial assistance in a drive through fashion.
Bring a driver’s license or other form of ID along with a utility bill. In addition, it is helpful to have social security cards or other identification for your children, as aid is based on the number of dependents. Bring snacks and water and be prepared for a long wait. There will be no meals served. Please do not bring weapons, drugs or alcohol.
American Red Cross disaster assistance is free, made possible by voluntary donations of time and money from the American people.
You can help the victims of the recent hurricanes and thousands of other disasters across the country each year by making a financial gift to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund, which enables the Red Cross to provide shelter, food, counseling and other assistance to those in need.
Call 1-800-HELP NOW or 1-800-257-7575 (Spanish). Contributions to the Disaster Relief Fund may be sent to your local American Red Cross chapter or to the American Red Cross, P. O. Box 37243, Washington, DC 20013.
