Traveling Tulane to face Texas-El Paso in Ruston Oct. 14

RUSTON, La. — Tickets for the Oct. 14 Conference USA football game between Tulane and UTEP which will be played at Joe Aillet Stadium in Ruston, are on sale now through Ticketmaster, Green Wave Ticket Manager Dan Holden announced Thursday.

The Friday night game kicks off at 7 p.m. and will be televised live by ESPN. A limited number of premium sideline general admission seats will be sold for $30, while the majority of the seats in the stadium are priced at $10 for a general admission ticket.

Tickets can be purchased through all Ticketmaster outlets in Louisiana and Mississippi, on-line at www.Ticketmaster.com or by calling toll-free 1-800-488-5252.

Tulane football season ticket holders who have purchased their 2005 season tickets will be able to pick up tickets on Thursday and Friday, Oct. 13-14, at the Louisiana Tech Athletics Ticket Office between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. Those tickets can also be picked up at Joe Aillet Stadium on game day beginning at 5 p.m. at Will Call.

All Tulane and Louisiana Tech students with a school ID will be admitted free.

The Tulane football team is making its home in Ruston this semester after being displaced from New Orleans by Hurricane Katrina. Members of the football team are enrolled at Louisiana Tech as visiting students, live in Caruthers Hall on campus and are sharing Tech’s practice facilities.

The UTEP game will be Tulane’s first in Ruston during this “Katrina” semester and will mark the fourth different Louisiana city to host a Green Wave “home” game this fall.
