RESERVE – Julie Marie Landry Becnel, 91, a native and resident of Reserve, died Sept. 22. She was the wife of the late Richard J. Becnel Sr.

She is survived by her children Doris (Clifton) Credeur, Richard (Jan) Becnel, Ellery (Joanie) Becnel, Walter (GayNell) Becnel, Robert (Betty) Becnel, Joycelyn (Mike) Bourgeois, Jude Ann (Paul) Deroche, Geraldine (Joe) Samrow, Kay (Bobby) Lear, Candy Becnel Pollet and Gayle (Wayne)LeBoeuf.

She is also survived by 34 grandchildren and 44 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Ferdinand Landry and Ernestine Parr, siblings Phillip, Clement, Emile, Dennis, Ernest, Justine and Emily and a son Ronald R. Becnel.

Services were held Sept. 26 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Reserve.

GRIFFIN

LULING – Barbara A. Griffin, 49, a native of Avondale and a resident of Luling, died Sept. 13. She was the wife of Lloyd Andrew Griffin III.

She is survived by her children Angelique G. Williams and Kelly Antoinette Griffin.

She is also survived by her mother Margaret Burks Ruffin, siblings Susie Hobbs, Sylvia Hobbs Nelson, Margaret Hobbs, Doris Faye Gilbert and Lionel Hobbs and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father L.D. Hobbs.

Services were held Sept. 24 at First Baptist Church, Paradis, with interment in Resthaven Cemetery, Avondale.

ST. AMANT

RESERVE – Carolyn Boutwell St. Amant, 71, a native of Winnsboro and a resident of Reserve, died Sept. 21. She was the wife of Larry J. St. Amant.

She is survived by her children Mark and Shelly, Kevin, Craig, Kent and Donnell St. Amant.

She is also survived by her siblings Billy Ray Boutwell, Donnie Boutwell and Beverly Matherne, grandchildren Courtney S. Poche, Cassie, Cara, Brittney Taylor and Ambree St. Amant.

Services were held Sept. 27 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in the church cemetery.
