LAPLACE — A LaPlace resident is wanted for armed robbery after allegedly forcing his way into a Belle Point home.

Kendall Kentrell Thompson, 26, is being sought by the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office.

On Aug. 1 around 11 p.m., Thompson went to a residence in Belle Point asking for change for a hundred dollar bill. The resident, whose name is being withheld, told Thompson to bring the money first, then he would give him change.

“Thompson punched the resident in the face,” said St. John Parish Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Maj. Mike Tregre. “He then forced his way into the residence and knocked the resident to the floor and held a knife to the resident.”

Thompson demanded money from the resident and the victim gave him $140, according to Tregre.

Tregre said a warrant for Thompson’s arrest was issued Aug. 3
