LAPLACE – Leonard Borries, 38, a native of New Orleans and a resident of LaPlace, died Aug. 2. He was the son of Jerry Borries.
He is survived by his siblings Gary Holland, Rocky, Charles and Buster Borries, Loretta and Mamie Borries, Rita Valdespino, Cindy Williams, Diana Taylor and Estelle Griggs.
Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at New Wine Christian Fellowship Church, LaPlace, with a private interment.
Bardell’s Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.
DASCH
PARADIS – Daris David “Big D” Dasch Jr., 47, a native and resident of Paradis, died Aug. 2. He was the husband of Anita Detillier Dasch.
He is survived by his daughter Merielle Ray.
He is also survived by his father Daris D. Dasch Sr. and his sister Audrey Lancaster.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lucy Dempster Dasch and his brother Kenny Dasch.
Services were held Aug. 4 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Paradis.
DAVIS
BOUTTE – Yvonne Colly Davis, 58, a native and resident of Boutte, died Aug. 4. She was the wife of the late Larry Davis.
She is survived by her children Ricky (Iris) Sandolph, Andrea (Jon) Reynolds, Shelly Young and Sonya Cummings.
She is also survived by her mother Eula Mae Sandolph Thorne and her grandchildren Kelly Mott, Theron and Terrell Batiste, Shamira Williams, Rakia Sandolph, Andrew Reynolds, Aquail Jackson and Misha Ferdinand.
Services were held Aug. 8 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boutte, with interment in Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, Boutte.
DORIS
ST. JAMES – Rev. Andrew Doris Sr., 71, a native of St. James and a resident of Marrero, died Aug. 2. He was the husband of Mary B. Doris.
He is survived by his children Kevin, Pernell, Gerard, Daryl Doris and Sherell Doris Cordoll.
He is also survived by his stepchildren Willie, Tony, SFC Stanley, Brenda Bradley, Gloria Allen and Pamela Snowden, siblings Minister Irma Penns, Betty Francis, Ethel Mae Miles, Msgt.(Ret.) Rita F. White, 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew Doris Sr. and Enola Doris London, stepfather Isadar London and siblings Willie Doris and Eddie London.
Services will be held today at Rock of Ages Baptist Church, Marrero, with interment in Mt. Airy Memorial Park Cemetery, Boutte.

HENRY
LAPLACE – Barbara “Bobbie” Henry, 59, a native of Morgan City and a resident of LaPlace, died Aug. 3. She was the daughter of the late Bessie Mae and Dan Clark.
She is survived by her children Sabrina (John) Holmes, Tanina Marshall and Larry Green.
She is also survived by her daughter-in-law Chandra Henry, six sisters, six brothers, 10 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son Simiah Henry.
Services were held Aug. 9 at New Wine Christian Fellowship, LaPlace, with interment in St. John Memorial Garden, LaPlace.
HUSTER
DESTREHAN – Cynthia Jean Huster, 53, a native of Lorain, Ohio and a resident of Destrehan, died Aug. 4. She was the wife of James F. Huster.
She is survived by her children Brian J. Huster and Kelly A. Huster.
She is also survived by her parents Robert and Irene Pastron.
Services were held Aug. 8 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment in the church mausoleum.
ISOLANI
ST. CHARLES – Joseph John Edwin Isolani, M.D., 82, a native of New Orleans and a resident of St. Charles Parish, died Aug. 4. He was the husband of the late Leila Cora “Lee” Lioutza.
He is survived by his children Jovonna (Reuben) Gegenheimer, Joseph (Mary Jewell) Jr. and Anita (David) Kasper.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and niece and nephew Norma Baker and James Joseph Hughes III.
He was preceded in death by his parents Paul and Rose Sita Isolani and uncles Johnny, Tony and Frank Sita.
Services were held Aug. 6 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, with interment in St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.
MARCEL
DESTREHAN – Loise “Honey” Faye Miller Marcel, 69, a native of Tutwiler, Miss. and a resident of Destrehan, died Aug. 5. She was the wife of the late Huey Marcel.
She is survived by her children Michael, Nicolini Sr., Barry Nicolini Sr., Russel Marcel Sr., Thomas Marcel, Larry Marcel Sr., Joseph Marcel, Huey Marcel Jr. and Janet Mayeux.
She is also survived by her 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her siblings Paul and Spencer Miller and Elizabeth Ash.
Services were held Aug. 9 at Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment in Jefferson Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
PERRY
LAPLACE – Madeline Millet Perry, 70, a native of Norco and a resident of LaPlace, died Aug. 5. She was the former wife of Jordan Perry Sr. She is survived by her children Cindy P. Hammond, Jordan, Wesley and Wayne Perry.
She is also survived by her siblings Beverly Schexnayder, Gloria Vicknair, Huey, Nickey and Butch Millet, eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held Aug. 8 at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with private interment.
SANDERS
DESTREHAN – Earl M Sanders, 78, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Destrehan, died Aug. 6. He was the husband of Charline Sanders.
He is survived by his children Douglas, Shawn and Troy Sanders and Erin Brennan. He is also survived by his stepdaughter Vicki Bostick, siblings Leonard Sanders and Doris Smith and five grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents Pauline and Emile Sanders and a brother Emile Sanders.
Services were held Aug. 9 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, with interment in Greenwood Cemetery.
VICKNAIR
RESERVE – Freida Ress Vicknair, 88, a native and resident of Reserve, died Aug. 4. She was the wife of the late Alvin A. Vicknair.
She is survived by her daughter-in-law Lou Anne Vicknair.
She is also survived by her brother Fred Ress Jr., grandchildren Chip Vicknair and Sharon Freeman and great-grandchildren Gregory and Grant Vicknair and Dirk Freeman.
She was preceded in death by her parents Frederick and Virginia Ress, son Tommy Vicknair and siblings Leola Montz and Myrtle Cloet.
Services were held Aug. 6 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment in the church cemetery.
WOODLAND
LUTCHER – Ophelia Johnson Woodland, 90, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Aug. 2. She was the wife of the late Charley Woodland Sr.
She is survived by her children Joy Ann Butler, Henry (Madeline), Oliver (Lois), Raymond (Lillie Mae), Larry (Cassandra) and Charley Woodland Jr.
She is also survived by her stepdaughter Elnora Manney, 13 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Louise White Johnson, sons and daughter-in-law Joseph Butler Sr., Herbert Manney and Shirley Woodland.
Services were held Aug. 6 at Golden Grove Baptist Church, Gramercy, with interment in St. Michael’s Cemetery, Convent.
ZULLI
LAPLACE – Joseph C. Zulli Jr., 63, a native of New Orleans and a resident of LaPlace, died Aug. 4. He was the husband of Linda Phillips Zulli.He is survived by his children Michael Zulli, Kevin Zulli and Ryan Zulli.
He is also survived by his sister Margie Franatovich and his grandson Michael Zulli.He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Francis Zulli.
Services were held Aug. 8 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with interment in St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
