RESERVE — Two young children have allegedly been molested by their mother’s boyfriend in Reserve.
The two young girls 3 and 4 years old, were brought to River Parishes Hospital on July 23 by their grandmother to be examined for possible sexual abuse, according to Public Information Officer Maj. Mike Tregre with the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office.
“The grandmother confronted an officer working security at the hospital,” Tregre said. “She told him the mother’s boyfriend had touched the two girls inappropriately.”
Tregre said the mother’s boyfriend was not from the area and the Sheriff’s Office is working jointly with the Office of Child Safety to continue the investigation.
Forensic interviews with the two girls took place on Friday to help find out more information about the mother’s boyfriend and what allegedly took place, according to Tregre.
