NORCO – Flossie Trepagnier Barfield, 75, a native and resident of Norco, died May 21. She was the wife of the late E.V. Barfield.

She is survived by her children Tab Trepagnier, Tammy B. Dufresne and Michael J. Barfield.

She is also survived by her siblings Barbara T. Moody, Roy A. Trepagnier and Garland J. Trepagnier, grandson Brandon, niece Lisa Lloyd and nephew Keith Trepagnier.

Services were held May 26 at the Sacred Heart Church, Norco, with interment in the St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.

BEAUCHAMP

LAPLACE – Nicole M. Beauchamp, 28, a native and resident of LaPlace, died May 23. She was the daughter of Gary and Diane Beauchamp.

She is survived by her brother Damon Beauchamp.

She is also survived by her grandparents Iva and the late Ivan Keller, James Henry and Rita D. Beauchamp.

Services were held on May 26 at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment in the St. Peter Cemetery.

BOURG

LULING – Josephine “Josie” Ragucci Bourg, 80, a native of Everett, Ma. and a resident of Luling, died May 25. She was the wife of the late Fremin Paul Bourg.

She is survived by her children Emily (James) Hawco, Lorraine (Stephen) Walker, Virginia Bourg and Janice (Randy) Rovins.

She is also survived by her grandchildren Michael Hawco, Nicole H. Roux, Jared Walker, Ashleigh Walker and Justin Rovins, great-grandchildren Devin and Shelby Hawco, Shaina and Clinton Roux V. and her brother Sam Ragucci.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at the St. Anthony Catholic Church, with interment in the St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.

Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m. at the church.

BRIGHT

VACHERIE – Sharline Vedol Bright, 56, a native and resident Vacherie, died May 21. She was the wife of Herman Bright.

She is survived by her children Herman Jr., Angela, Troy, Carvell and Cynthia Bright, Jeremy Miller.

She is also survived by her siblings Betty Allen, Lois Vedol, Linda Malancon, Claudia Harry, Carternell Nash and Stanley Vedol, 18 grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at the Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment in the church cemetery.

The Baloney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.

JONES

RESERVE – Josephine “Maw” Jones, 88, a native of Plaquemine and a resident of Reserve, died May 22. She was the wife of the late Wilson Jones Sr.

She is survived by her children Wilson (Emily) Jr., Warren (Bernadine) and Larry (Paula) Jones, Elmira Batiste, Rita Mae Johnson, Josephine “Teresa” Hornsby and Stella Mae Jones.

She is also survived by 37 grandchildren, 74 great-grandchildren and 23 great great-grandchildren.

Services were held May 27 at the Beechgrove Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment today at 10 a.m. in the St. John Memorial Garden Mausoleum, LaPlace.

The Baloney Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

LEE

LAPLACE – Haschal L. “Hack” Lee Sr., 82, a native of Mississippi and a resident of LaPlace. He was the husband of Carrie T. Lee.

He is survived by his children Buddy (Lorraine) Lee and Steve (Kembra) Lee.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Mendi LeBouet, Stephanie, Lenzie and Paxton Lee.

Services were held May 25 at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home Chapel, LaPlace, with interment in the Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.

SOLOMON

VACHERIE – Louis “Butterbean” Solomon, 85, a native of Vacherie and a resident of Austin, Texas, died May 21. He was the husband of the late Josepha Solomon.

He is survived by his children Rosalind (Jim) Baldauf and Jacqueline McAllister.

He is also survived by his grandchildren Clifford, Cymone, Marcel and Janene and his great-grandchildren Jiarrus, Jaisia and Jaira.

He was preceded in death by his sisters Louisa Gordon and Corita Baptiste.

Services were held May 27 at the Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment in the church cemetery.
