LAPLACE – James Wade “Swadek” Klibert, 50, a native of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace, died May 5.

He was the husband of Belinda R. Guidroz.

He is survived by his step-daughters Brandi Kilbert, Brittani and Bethani Guidroz.

He is also survived by his brothers Richard, Reuben Jr., Tim, Jamie and Jeffery Kilbert, his sister Karen Hillhouse and a host of nieces and nephews.

Services were held May 8 at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with internment in the St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

MADERE

LAPLACE – Lawrence J. “Pickle” Madere Jr.,77, a native and resident of LaPlace, died May 9.

He was the husband of the late Lorraine Edler Madere.

He is survived by his children and spouses Bryan (Kim), Brad (Karren), Blaine (Zina), Lawrence III (Karen), Drew (Paula) and Melony Madere.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren and two brothers Harry and Kenneth Madere.

Visitation will be today from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace and services on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. at the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with internment in the St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

NARCISSE

VACHERIE – Ernest “Wine” Narcisse, 63, a native and resident of Vacherie, died May 9.

He was the husband of Elnoria Jessie Narcisse.

He is survived by his mother Gladys Gros Narcisse, his children and spouses Bruce (Denise) and Barry (Roxie) Narcisse.

He is also survived by two sisters, three brothers and five grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, Vacherie, with internment in the church cemetery.

Williams and Southall Funeral Home, Nepoleonville is in charge of arrangements, visitation begins at 8 a.m.

ROME

VACHERIE – Wilfred Aubert Rome Sr., 97, a native of Vacherie and resident of St. Bernard Parish, died May 4. He was the father of Wilfred A. Rome Jr. and Roland A. Rome Sr.

He is survived by six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Services were held May 7 at the St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, Chalmette, with a private internment.

ST. AMANT

LULING – Dennis J. St. Amant Jr., 70, a native and resident of Luling, died May 8.

He was the husband of the late Catherine Lagattuta St. Amant.

He is survived by his children and spouses Cathy (Steve) Jones, Dennis (Lenita) St. Amant III, Susette (Vernon) Higgins, Michael St. Amant, Wendy (Terence) Gomez, Yvette (Solomon) Israel and Sheila (Randy) Jacobs.

He is also survived by two sisters Mary Norfleet and Margaret Fiegenschue and 14 grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 11 a.m. At Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville, with internment in the St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.

Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.
