DESTREHAN – Lynn Cannon, of Destrehan, is hosting a benefit fund-raiser for 4-year-old, Dylan Anthony Tujague, born with a disorder called Craniosynostosis.

The fund-raiser will raise money to help his family accommodate Dylan’s needs. Dylan has the most severe form of this disorder called “Cloverleaf Skull.”

This means all the suture lines in his skull were closed at birth, hindering the formation of a soft spot and creating a disfigured skull and brain compression. With only100 cases worldwide, Dylan is one of the most severe cases living.

The fund-raiser will be held Sunday, April 17, at the VFW Post 6640, 3314 Richland Ave., Metairie, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

They are planning to serve jambalaya, spaghetti, red beans and rice, desserts, salad, bread and soft drinks. There will also be door prizes, parade of prizes and a silent auction.

Donations for food and other items are being accepted. For further information, call Lynn Cannon at (985) 764-0409 or (504) 388-4114.

Lynn is a friend of the family and also has a child with the same disorder.
