LULING – Elizabeth Knight Hundt, 94, a native of Matthews and a resident of Luling, died April 3. She was the wife of the late John P. Hundt.

She is survived by her two children, Donald Hundt and Betty Winslow.
She is also survived by three grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her brother and sister, Beulah K. Acosta and Percy Lee Knight.
Services were held Apr. 6 at Tharp Funeral Home-Gentilly, New Orleans, with internment in the Carrollton Cemetery.
GARYVILLE – Dorothy Mae Fields, 84, a native and resident of Garyville, died April 3. She was the mother of Marcel Pete, Lavinia Moore, Levorna Conners and Pearl Remo.
She is survived by her children, 25 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services were held April 8 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Garyville, with internment in the Zion Travelers Cemetery, Reserve.
GARYVILLE – Mercedes “Cookie” Hollind, 64, a native and resident of Garyville, died April 2. She was the mother of Clarence Raphile, Brenda Johnson and Mary Raphile.
She is survived by her brothers, Issac Frank and Ernest Pierre and her sister, Lucille Carter.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services will be held today at 10 a.m. At the New Hopeful Baptist Church, Garyville, with internment in the Zion Travelers Cemetery, Reserve.

LAPLACE – Irvin Dennis Williams Sr.,39, a native of LaPlace and a resident of Belle Rose, died April 1. He was the husband of Zebrita Sherman Williams.
He is survived by his sons, Irvin Williams Jr., Dennis and Joshua Bougere, step-sons, Wayne Sherman and Michael Bougere and step-daughter, Ashanie Bougere.
He is also survived by his mother and step-father, Betty Jeans Williams and Joseph Honore, three brothers and one sister, four step-brothers and four step-sisters, and his grandmother Victoria White.
Services were held April 9 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, LaPlace, with internment in the Montz Cemetery, Montz.
DESTREHAN – Olive Joy Belle Doherty, 84, a native of Destrehan and a resident of LaPlace, died April 4. She was the wife of the late Louis E. Doherty Sr.
She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Ronald Doherty and her daughter, Deborah Murry.
She is also survived by her sister, Freda Moore, five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son and daughter Louis E. Doherty Jr. And Colleen Vidrine.
Services were held on Apr. 6 at the Hixon-Sulphur Memorial Funeral Home, Sulphur, with interment in the Roselawn Cemetery, Sulphur.
