Stop me if you have heard this one before.

Hahnville plays team, Hahnville beats team.

So far this season, that equation is almost as certain as 2+2=4.

The Tiger bats exploded again Thursday afternoon as they mauled yet another opponent, this time a 12-2 victory in six innings over Central Lafourche.

With the win the Tigers are now 20-2 overall and 5-0 in district 6-5A.

Aaron Loup picked up the win for the Tigers after going five innings and only allowing two hits and striking out nine.

Collecting 15 hits as a team, a multitude of Tigers had multiple-hit games. Ryan Madere finished the game 2-3, Steven Burns finished 3-4, Jordan Brown finished 2-3, Russell Thigpen finished 2-3 and Jordan Frickey finished 2-3.

Hahnville Head Coach Frank Cazeaux is excited about the way his team is playing, particularly the way his team is hitting the ball right now.

“We swung the bats well,” Cazeaux said. “That is what we have to continue to do if we want to keep winning. We have also been getting some pitching. Aaron Loup along with our other two starters are a total of 16-0 on the mound and you can’t ask for anything more than that.”

Still in his first year and putting his system in, Cazeaux said the Tigers are beginning to realize that he has his eyes on a bigger prize down the road.

“They are starting to get there,” Cazeaux said. “I knew it was going to take some time, but we are starting to do that and that is a good thing.”
