After a very successful 8-3 season that saw them finish as the runners-up in 10-2A, the post-season accolades began to roll in for the Riverside Rebels.

Playing in one of the toughest districts in all of Class 2A that included 2A State Champion West St. John, Riverside head coach Mickey Roussel’s Rebels had five Rebels made the 10-2A All-District team.

Three defensive players took home All-District honors for Riverside.

After a solid season, senior Matt Purcell (5-11, 225) was one of the defensive linemen selected.

Joining Purcell, junior Kevin Bourg was selected as an All-District linebacker. Rounding out the defensive trio, defensive back Nick Falgoust took home the honors in the secondary for the Rebels.

On the offensive side of the ball, senior Lance Simon (6-1, 225) was named to the All-District offensive line.

The other offensive player selected to the All-District squad was freshman tailback Jarid Caesar. The 5-7, 150-pound Caesar took home first-team All-District honors at tailback as well as being named first-team All-District at return specialist.
