FARNELL

EDGARD – Cleveland Farnell Sr., 83, a native of Edgard and resident of New Orleans for several years, died Nov. 26.

He was the husband of Coritha P. Farnell and father of Joan Triche, Vanessa Johnson, Brian and Cleveland Farnell Jr., and the late Alfred, Darrell and Wong Farnell.

He is also the son of the late Alfred and Crozila J. Farnell, and brother of Julia Gross, and the late Etta Wallace, Rose Landry, Melvina Hill, Sybil, August, Lucien and John Farnell.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was a retired brickmaker for more than 40 years with Ratcliff, a former member of Jerusalem Baptist Church and member of Greater St. Stephen’s Full Gospel Baptist Church, where he was an usher.

Services were Dec. 2 at New Jerusalem Baptist Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery.

HENDERSON

METAIRIE – William J. “Bill” Henderson, 45, a native of Metairie and resident of Ama, died Nov. 28. He was the husband of Teresa Ann Detillier Henderson and father of Christine, Timothy, Matthew, Joseph and William Henderson Jr. He was also the son of Donald and Mary C. Henderson and brother of Suzanne Henderson.

Services were Dec. 1 in the chapel of Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.

LeBLANC

LAPLACE – Everett “Red” Bennett LeBlanc, a native of Paincourtville and resident of Reserve, died Nov. 30.

He was the husband of 49 years of the late Dorothy Haydel LeBlanc, and father of Saundra “Pye” St. Pierre, Jill Vanlangendonck, Valerie Bourgeois, Kim Poche and Kerry LeBlanc.

He was also the son of the late Charles and Corine St. Germain LeBlanc, and brother of Anna Berthelot, and the late Bruno, Steve and Jessie LeBlanc.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II, a member of American Legion Post 159 and a retired heavy machinery operator at Shell Chemical.

Services were Dec. 2 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

McCLURE

GARYVILLE – Ralph Craig McClure, 77, a native of Rochester, Pa., and resident of Garyville for a year, died Nov. 25. He was the father of Maurine Coleman and Michael McClure.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

He was a retired truck driver and served in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years.

Services were private.

ROSETTE

HAHNVILLE – Emelda Sophie Rosette, a native of Hahnville and resident of Edgewood, Md., died Nov. 28. She was the wife of Hurley Rosette Jr., and mother of Doreen Larbi, Darnell and Ashley Rosette.

She was also the daughter of Martha Gross, and the late Isiah Gross Jr., and sister of the Rev. Mary George, Shirley Rhodes, Martha Gordon, Frederich Tombar, Verna Meyer, Elouise “Etta” Powell, Worinda “Norma,” James, and the late Herbert Rosette.

She is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m., at True Vine Baptist Church, Hahnville, with interment at St. James United Methodist Cemetery, Hahnville. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

RUE

NEW SARPY – Olla Mae Zeringue Rue, 58, a native and resident of New Sarpy, died Nov. 29.

She was the mother of Jordan Zeringue and Tyrell Rue and guardian of Donell Zeringue.

She was also the daughter of the late Elton Sr. and Luberta Robertson Zeringue, and sister of Gloria Evans, Orethia Kenner and Elton Zeringue Jr.

She is also survived by one grandchild.

She was a retired bus driver for St. Charles Parish Schools.

Services are today at 11 a.m., at St. Matthew Baptist Church, New Sarpy, with private interment. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

SPANN

NORCO – Randolph “Cool Papa” Spann Jr., 69, a native of Norco and resident of Destrehan, died Nov. 30. He was the brother of Deloris Brown, Altiss Brown Sr. And Blenny Mashia Sr.

Services were Dec. 2 at Good Hope Baptist Church, Norco, with interment at Montz Cemetery.

STEWART

VACHERIE – Bessie Stewart, 59, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Nov. 30. She was the wife of Webster Stewart Sr., and mother of Lynette Williams and Webster Stewart Jr.

She was also the daughter of Blanche Favorite and sister of Annette Deupart, Betty Marshall, Joseph Favorite and the Rev. Clarence Williams.

She is also survived by two grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Magnolia High School.

Services are today at 11 a.m., at Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interrment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
