The potent Rebels rushing attack racked up 304 yards rushing, while holding the Rams to seven. This week, the Rebels will travel to play Buras at Fort Jackson. On paper, it is a game the Rebels should have little difficulty. Buras is coming off a 58-0 thumping against West St. John. The Rams defense held the Wildcats to 10-yards of total offense.

Kickoff is set for 7PM.

East St. John versus Ellender

The East St. John Wildcats will look to break a two-game losing streak Friday night when they travel to play Ellender in Bourg. The Wildcats are licking their wounds after a 33-6 defeat against Destrehan. At one point, the Fighting Wildcats held ESJ quarterback Ryan Perrilloux to 7-20 passing.

Ellender, on the other hand, is winless on the 2004 season and is coming off a 49-6 beating to H.L Bourgeois. Despite horrible weather conditions, there were no turnovers in their game. In last season’s game, played at Joe Keller

Memorial Field, the Wildcats mauled the Patriots, 53-0.

Kickoff is set for 7PM at South Terrebonne.

West St. John versus St. Martin’s

There is a sign in the West St. John gymnasium saying “Now we’re rollin’.” That looks to be the case with the West St. John football team. The Rams have outscored their opponents over the last two weeks by a combined score of 126-45. Their most recent victim was Buras. The Rams unloaded on the Wildcats, winning 58-0.

Running back Patrick Jackson rushed for 156-yards and scored five touchdowns in the victory. Jackson has rushed for a combined 485 yards over the last two games.

He is currently the top leading rusher in the River Parishes with more than 1,100 yards.

West St. John (4-2, 1-0) last year blew out St. Martin’s (2-3, 0-1), 60-24.

Kickoff is set for 7PM in Metarie.

Central Lafourche versus Hahnville

The Hahnville Tigers received a little bit of a scare last Friday, winning 21-7 over South Lafourche. The Tigers held the Tarpons to one-yard passing.

Running back Terrence Isaac got the bulk of the Tigers offense, carrying the ball 32 times for 149 yards. The Tigers rushing yardage totaled 154 yards.

Hahnville quarterback Bryant Lee completed four of five passes for 154 yards.

Central Lafourche played a defensive game with Thibodaux, losing 7-2.

The lone score for the Trojans was when Central Lafourche linebacker Colin Guidry tackled Thibodaux running back Edward Morgan in the endzone for a safety in the first quarter.

Hahnville, who has won 21 straight games, easily defeated Central Lafourche last year, winning 36-0.

Kickoff is set for 7PM in Boutte.

E.D White versus Lutcher

After starting off the season 0-3, the Lutcher Bulldogs have come on strong and tied their record at 3-3 heading into this Friday night’s game against E.D White.

The Bulldogs routed Donaldsonville last Friday night, 35-0.

In their game with the Tigers, Bulldogs running back Wayne Albert rushed 19 times for 100 yards in the victory.

The third time was the charm for the E.D White Cardinals.

After a playoff loss to West St. Mary in 2002 and a regular season loss in 2003, the Cardinals shutout the Wolfpack 14-0 last Friday night.

EDW features a couple of solid running backs that the Bulldogs will have to sustain, Daniel Naul and Zach Norris. Naul had 16 carries for 75 yards against West St. Mary, while Norris ran nine times for 86-yards.

Kickoff is set for 7PM in Lutcher.

Donaldsonville versus St. James

The St. James Wildcats will look to even up their 10-3A district record by hosting Donaldsonville Friday night in Vacherie.

The Wildcats are coming off a hard-fought 10-0 defeat against St. Charles Catholic Friday night.

Thru week six, the Wildcats have outscored their opponents 108-65.

In addition, the Wildcats have only lost the ball three times this year.

St. James has been platooning quarterbacks Nick Narcisse and Antonio Phillips this year.

Narcisse has completed 22 of 52 passes this year for 391 yards, while Phillips has completed 17 of 32 passes for 262 yards this year.

Donaldsonville is coming off a 35-0 defeat against Lutcher last Friday night.

South Lafourche versus Destrehan

The Destrehan Fighting Wildcats are coming off one of their biggest wins in a long time. DHS defeated East St. John 33-6.

CJ Sinceno was responsible for the first two touchdowns of the game for Destrehan.

The Tarpons played tough in losing 21-7 Hahnville.

Kickoff is set for 7PM in Destrehan.
