ADAMS

VACHERIE – Beatrice “Aunt Bee” Adams, 95, a native and resident of Wallace, died May 7. She was the wife of the late Charlie Adams.

She was also the daughter of the late Emile and Agnes Theard Bastain, and sister of Alma Becnel, Mary Clark, Pearl, Anicet, and the late Agnes Harris, Hayward, Ernest and Lincoln Bastain.

Services were May 11 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.

CHAMPAGNE

RESERVE – Rudy Champagne, 73, a native and resident of Reserve, died May 9. He was the son of the late Alizia and Rosemond Champagne, and brother of Earline Gueret, Enola Champagne, and the late Margaret LaBranche, Ernest and June Champagne.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

FOLSE

VACHERIE – Antoine Augustin “Peanut” Folse, 77, a native and resident of Vacherie, died May 9. He was the husband of Aline Labat Folse and father of Jeffrey Folse Sr.

He was also the son of the late Eutrope and Marie Falgoust Folse, and brother of Agnes Becnel, and the late Bessie Rodrigue.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Our lady of Peace Catholic Church, South Vacherie, with interment at the church mausoleum. Visitation starts at 7 a.m.

LUMAR

EDGARD – Sterling “Boy” Lumar, 80, a native and resident of Edgard, died may 6. He was the son of the late Whitney and Amelia M. Lumar, and brother of Beatrice Edwards, Helen Hilaire, Edna Lumar, and the late Camille, Evelyn Ceola and Lawrence Lumar.

He is preceded in death by a son.

Services were May 11 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery.

McGEHEE

METAIRIE – Patrick H. McGehee, 63, a native of New Orleans and resident of Destrehan for 17 years, died May 7. He was the husband of Renee Levey Raines McGehee, father of Elizabeth and Patrick McGehee Jr. and stepfather of Susan Gauthier, Jeffrey and Robert Raines.

He was also the brother of Edgar McGehee Jr.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was a graduate of LSU and earned a master’s degree in electrical engineering at Tulane University and was a retired project manager at J. Ray McDermott Inc. He was also a member of the Spillway Flying Club for 10 years.

Services were May 10 in the chapel of Tharp-Sontheimer-Tharp Funeral Home, Metairie, with private interment.

MILLET

LAPLACE – Michael Paul Millet, 59, a native of LaPlace and resident of Ponchatoula for three years, died May 9. He was the husband of Barbara Panzica Millet and father of Phillip, Devonne, Mike and Allen Millet.

He was also the son of the late Charles and Mabel Richoux Millet, and brother of Betty Vice, Gilbert and James Millet.

He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Services are todat at noon in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

PREVOST

LULING – Lois B. Prevost, 88, a native of Ness City, Kan. and resident of Luling for 10 years, died May 6. She was the wife by first marriage of the late Harry Duffy and by second marriage of Harry Prevost Jr., and mother of Sandra Ellis, Ronald and Harry Prevost III.

Services were May 8 with interment at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.

RICHARDSON

ST. JAMES – Milton “Shorty” Richardson, 85, a native of New Orleans and resident of St. James for 75 years, died May 4. He was the father of Wanda Winchester, Mary Carrol, Mary Ann Magee, Louise, Milton Jr., Raymond and Kenneth Richardson.

He was also the brother of Alice Richardson.

He is also survived by 22 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

He was a retired tractor operator with Schexnayder Farms, a former employee of the Ascension Parish Police Jury and member of the Pride of Brookstown Benevolent Association, Donaldsonville Negro Progressive Association, chairman fo the Voters Educational League and president of the Better Workers of St. James.

Services were May 10 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, St. James, with interment at the church cemetery.

TOCA

LULING – Jeanine Turner Toca, 43, a native and resident of Luling, died May 5. She was the wife of Charles Toca, mother of LaTashala S. Turner and stepmother of Charles Toca Jr.

She was also the daughter of Louis Turner Sr. And sister of healisha Arrington, Gloria Byrd, Sylvia Johnson, Debra Hamilton, Bernice Gilbert, Leana Celestine, Bessie, Lorie, Richard, Joseph, Darryl and Louis Turner Jr.

She is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Bell Baptist Church, Luling, with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, Boutte. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

TROXLER

MARRERO – Russell J. Troxler, a resident of Hahnville, died May 5. He was the husband of Marjorie Belsome Troxler and father of Derrill, Danny, Vanessa, and the late Don Troxler.

He was also the son of the late Luke and Edna Bourgeois Troxler, and brother of Mildred Hymel, Eunice Troxler, and the late Derrill Troxler.

He is also survived by four grandchildren.

Services were May 10 in the chapel of Westside Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Marrero, with interment at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft.

WASCOM

LIVINGSTON – Cleveland Edward Wascom, 75, a native of Satsuma and resident of LaPlace, died May 7. He was the husband of Josie Hughes Wascom and father of Kelvin Dale.

He was also the brother of Ray Wascom.

He is also survived by one grandchild.

Services were May 10 in the chapel of Seale Funeral Home, Livingston, with interment at Gateway Gardens Memorial Park, Livingston.

ZELLER

LULING – Harry Paul Zeller Sr., 80, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Luling, died May 6. He was the husband of Mary Agnes Brady Zeller and father of Anne thomassie, Harry Sr. and Anthony Zeller Sr.

He was also the son of the late Joe and Nora LeBlanc Zeller, and brother of Rita Waterman, Mary Lee Robert, Jules and George Zeller Sr.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, American Legion and Knights of Columbus.

He was also a retired Monsanto Company employee of 31 years service.

Services were May 11 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, Luling, with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.
