Beauty Pageant contestants needed

The fourth annual St. John American Dream Queen Pageant will be held June 19 at 11 a.m. at St. Peter School, 188 W. Seventh St., Reserve.

The entry fee is $35, which includes photogenic participation, for girls 15 years and younger; and $40, including photogenic entry, for girls 16-18 years. The America’s Sweetheart entry fee, which is optional, is an additional $5. An America’s Sweetheart crown and sash will be presented to the overall high point scorer in personality/poise. A late fee of $5 will be charged for those entering at the door. Girls 18 and younger may participate. This is not a Sunday-best pageant. Attire is play wear for children 12 and younger and casual-sportswear for girls 13-18. Swimwear is not allowed. Simple props such as hats, sunglasses, scarves and purses may be used.

Awards for finalists, fashion, photogenic, prettiest hair, prettiest smile and prettiest eyes will be presented.

Queens will be recognized at the St. John Parish Fourth of July Celebration at St. Peter Church in Reserve.
