Melody Tomlinson and Daniel Brignac, both of Benton, LA exchanged wedding vows April 3 at Sandals Resort, in Nassau, Bahamas. A reception for the family and friends took place at Savoie’s The Catering Place in Shreveport on April 24.

The bride is the daughter of Melba and Charles Tomlinson of Hampton, Ark. She is the granddaughter of Louise Bryant and the late A.G. Tomlinson of Hampton and the late Mr. and Mrs. George Clawson of Smackover, Ark. Melody is a graduate of Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe. She is employed by Ortho McNeil Pharmaceutical as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative.

The bridegroom is the son of Cheryl and Norman Brignac of LaPlace. He is the grandson of Mary Ann Rihner Mauer of LaPlace and the late Jules R. Mauer of Harahan and Eulalie Boudreaux Brignac of Abita Springs and the late Francis Ray Bringnac of Harahan. Daniel, whose mother is the former Miss Cheryl Mauer, was a graduate of St. Charles Catholic High School in LaPlace and Northeast Louisiana University in Monroe. He is employed as a Pharmacist and manager with Wal Mart.

The bridesmaids were April T. Bevis of Little Rock, AR and Brandi M. Brignac of LaPlace. The flower girl was Ally Bevis of Little Rock, AR. The groomsmen were Jason F. Brignac and Norman J. Brignac, both of LaPlace.

Following the honeymoon in Nassau, Bahamas the couple will reside in Benton.
