basketball tickets now on sale

Tickets are now on sale for the Top 28 Boys’ Basketball Tournament, which will be held March 8-13 at the Cajundome in Lafayette. Tickets for each event are $7 per session and can be purchased at the SLU University Center and the Cajundome box office.

Nicholls State seeks golf sponsors

Nicholls State University is seeking sponsors and golfers for the 13th Annual Bonnie J. Bourg Lecture Series Golf Tournament, scheduled for Sunday, March 14 at the Bayou Country Club in Thibodaux. Sponsorships available for the golf tournament range from the Caddie level at $25 to Tournament Marshal at $500 or more. The entry fee for the tournament is $300 per team or $75 per person. Ten Star camp accepting

applications

Applications are now being evaluated for the Ten Star All-Star Summer Basketball Camp. The camp is by invitation only and is for boys and girls ages 10-19. Players from 50 states and 11 foreign countries attended the 2003 camp. College basketball scholarships are possible for players selected to the All-American Team. Riverside Academy to hold golf

The 13th annual Riverside Golf Tournament is scheduled for April 5 at Belle Terre Country Club. Tee times will be available for 32 groups beginning at 8:00am and for 36 groups at 1:00pm. There is a $100 donation required per golfer. Riverside is also in need of hole sponsors at $50 per sign. For more information, contact Mickey Roussel at 536-4251. SCC to hold golf

The St. Charles Catholic quarterback club will hold its annual golf tournament March 29 at Riverlands Golf and Country Club in LaPlace. There will be a morning and afternoon session. The cost is $100 per player and $400 per team. For more information, call 652-3029.

HHS to hold basketball clinic this month

Hahnville High School will be hosting a basketball camp for youth (ages 4-15) on March 28 from 5-6p.m. The clinic will teach fundamentals of shooting, passing, dribbling, ball handling, defense and rebounding. Basketball needed for the clinic include: basketball shoes, reversible jersey, a willingness to learn and a positive attitude. The instructor will be Kevin Robicheaux from Hahnville. The fee will be $65.
