St. John

ANDERSON

ST. JAMES – Ronald “JuJu” Anderson, 48, a native and resident of St. James, died Jan. 20. He was the son of the late Freddie and Dorothy Dennis Anderson, and brother of Rosemary Broden, Dorothy Dennis, Milton and Harold Anderson, and the late Martha Charles, Geraldine Dunbar, Audrey, Freddie and Leroy Anderson.

Services are today at noon at Mt. Bethel Baptist Church, St. James, with interment at St. Luke Baptist Cemetery. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.

BOURGEOIS

PAULINA – Oliver “Poochie” Maurice Bourgeois Jr., 64, a native of Gramercy and resident of Paulina, died Jan. 18. He was the husband of 44 years of Brenda St. Pierre Bourgeois and father of Cathy “La-La,” Jimmy, Danny, Scott, Barry and Corey Bourgeois.

He was also the son of the late Oliver Sr. and Thelma Roussel Bourgeois, and brother of Annette Rome, Elaine Brack, Linda Monica, Billy and Tommy Bourgeois.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren. He is preceded in death by one grandchild.

Services were Jan. 21 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.

DUPEPE

UNION – Clement Andrew “BeBe” Dupepe, 78, a native and resident of Union, died Jan. 20. He was the son of the late Fernand Sr. and Julie Mire Dupepe, and brother of Rosalie Porta, Shirley Louviere, and half-brother of Shirley Young, and the late Barbara, Mercedes and Fernand Dupepe Jr.

Services were Jan. 22 at St. Mary’s Chapel, Union, with interment at the church cemetery.

FIELD

METAIRIE – Michael Thomas Field, 42, a native of New Orleans and resident of St. Rose, died Jan. 17. He was the son of John and Agnes Ratcliff Field and brother of David Field.

Services were Jan. 22 in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Metairie.

HAYDEL

EDGARD – Warren Haydel, 75, a native of Edgard and resident of Hahnville, died Jan. 20.

He was the husband of Annette Joseph by first marriage and of the late Isabella K. Haydel by second marriage, and father of Terry Moore, Claudette Favorite, Melinda Edwards, Judy Bastian and Edna Harris.

He was also the brother of Eunice Smith, Ernestine Mills and Julia Ellis.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 34 step-grandchildren and six step-great-grandchildren.

He was a retired laborer at Avondale Shipyards.

Services are today at noon at Second African Baptist Church, Edgard, with interment at Young Cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

KINDRICK

EDGARD – Robert Malcolm “Big Bob” Kindrick, 60, a native and resident of Edgard, died Jan. 20.

He was the devoted friend of the late Carolyn Julien, and father of Leanders Lewis and guardian of Connie, Patrick, Sharon, Leslie, LaToya and Lydell Julien.

He was also the son of the late Douglas and Wilhelmine Kindrick, and brother of Wilhelmine Bailey, Deola Ellis, Diana Mitchell, Ilha, Glynn, Verdell, Jimmy and Laura Kindrick.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

McMILLAN

NORCO – Calvin C. McMillan, 79, a resident of Norco, died Jan. 20.

He was the husband of Corinne Keller McMillan and father of Cynthia Landry and Laura Lee Savage.

He was also the brother of JoAnn Rush and Nancy Trisdal.

He is also survived by three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was a Korean Conflict veteran, and a member of American Legion Post 195 and the Saints Touchdown Club.

Services were Jan. 22 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, with interment at Garden of Memories, Metairie.

ROUSSEL

PAULINA – DeAnna Mae Roussel, 54, a native of Gonzales and resident of Lutcher, died Jan. 21.

She was the wife of Hennis Roussel and mother of Julie Gilbert, Hennis Jr., Jeffrey, Brian and Craig Roussel.

She was also the daughter of Tony and Barbara Cantillo and sister of Mona Moran, Peggy Ortego, Colleen Little, Deidre Detillier, Stacey Brignac, Chantel Herron and Randy Brignac.

Services were Jan. 23 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.
