St. John

BOE

LUTCHER – Stacy Ann Brady Boe, 41, a native of Garyville and resident of Gramercy, died Jan. 17. She was the mother of Dain and Trent Boe.

She was also the daughter of Forest Sr. and LaVonne Brady and sister of Kirk Sr. and Forest Brady Jr.

She was a salesperson of America’s Best Manufactured Homes.

Services were Jan. 19 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

BREAUX

DES ALLEMANDS – Abigayl “Abby” Breaux, 9, a native and resident of Des Allemands, died Jan. 11. She was the daughter of Wayne and Denise Folse Breaux and sister of Christian Breaux.

She was also the grandchild of John and Lillian Breaux, Edward and Lucy Folse, and great-grandchild of Breatriz Vellareal, Alvina and Edwin Baudouin.

She was a student at Boutte Christian Academy.

Services were Jan. 16 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, with interment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.

BROWN

GARYVILLE – John Brown Jr., 82, a native of Garyville and resident of Kenner, died Jan. 10. He was the husband of the late Grace Wilson Brown, and father of Betty Rollins, John III, James, David, Peter, Tyronne Brown.

He was also the son of the late John Brown Sr. and Priscilla James, and brother of Velma Earl, Branche Brown, and the late Olivia Felton and Herman Brown.

He is also survived by a host of grandchildren.

Dismissal services were Jan. 17 in the chapel of Baloney Funeral Home, Garyville, with interment at Lakelawn Mausoleum, New Orleans.

BURNAM

VACHERIE – Lula Johnson Burnam, 76, a native of Abend and resident of Vacherie, died Jan. 14. She was the wife of the late Royal Burnam, and mother of Paulette Cromwell, Enola Lassere, Betty Joseph, Geraldine Keller, Jennifer Marcell and Cynthia Burnam.

She was also the daughter of the late Felton and Olivia Johnson, and sister of the late Minty Breaux, Olivia Morton, Louis, Felton Jr., Wallace, David and Frank Johnson.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 17 at Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.

CAMBRE

GARYVILLE – Lewis Wilfred Cambre Jr., 76, a native of Reserve and resident of Garyville for 40 years, died Jan. 14. He was the husband of 54 years of Elsie Matherne Cambre and father of Marie Ursa, Elsie, Kathleen, Lewis III and Lyle Cambre.

He was also the son of the late Marie Virginia and Lewis Cambre Sr., and brother of Rita Morvant, Aline Duhe, A. Bert and Russell Cambre, and the late Marie Roussell, Ruth Brignac, Josie Snowdy, Ellis and Caliste Cambre.

He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

He was a lifetime member of VFW Post 8167 in Garyville and a member of the sheetmetal Union Local 11.

Services were Jan. 17 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

DELLA

RESERVE – Oscar “O.D.” Della Jr., 46, a native of Reserve and resident of Irving, Texas, died Jan. 11. He was the husband of Victoria Overton Della and father of Nathaniel and Ja’Mon Della.

He was also the brother of Rose Creecy, Audrey Mizell, Shenetta Brown, Carolyn Leon, Anna, Connie, Gloria, Wilfred Sr. and Bartley Della.

He was a cinematographer and electronic technician.

Services were Jan. 17 at New Pilgrim Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at Bethlehem Cemetery, Reserve.

ENGLADE

LAPLACE – Robbie E. Englade, 34, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 15. He was the husband of Jennifer Englade and father of Amber and Ashley Englade.

He was also the son of Emery Englade and Debbie Martin.

He was also the grandchild of O’Neil and Anna Martin, Ruby Englade, and the late L.J. Englade.

Services were Jan. 19 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

FELTON

CONVENT – Vivian N. Felton, 49, a native and resident of Convent, died Jan. 10. She was the wife of the late Larry Felton Sr., and mother of DeAnna Thomas, Larry Jr. and Patrick Felton.

She was also the daughter of the late Clarence and Louise Nicholas, and is also survived by five sisters and two brothers.

She is also survived by six grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 17 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Convent, with interment at the church cemetery.

HOLLY

WALLACE – Luella Johnson “Na Name” Holly, 98, a native of Wallace and resident of Jefferson, died Jan.16. She was the wife of the late Stamp Holly, and mother of Alfred Grant.

She is also survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Dismissal services were Jan. 20 at Greater Woodville Baptist Church, Wallace, with interment at the church cemetery.

MIZELL

BOUTTE – Pamela Jean Mizell, 39, a native of McKinney, Texas, and resident of Destrehan for 33 years, died Jan. 15. She was the mother of Christine and Jacob Mizell.

She was also the daughter of W. Louis and Patricia Mizell and sister of Donna Hale, Lisa Barry, Susan, David, Robert, Alan and Jamie Mizell.Services were Jan. 19 at West St. Charles Baptist Church, Boutte, with private interment.

NASSAR

CONVENT – Joseph Nassar, 77, a native of Lutcher and resident of Convent, died Jan. 15. He was the husband of the late Ellen “Polly” Martin Nassar, and father of Jackie Chauvin, Gwen, Joseph and Michael Nassar.

He was also the son of the late Namatala and Rosalie Ferrara Nassar, and brother of Freida Broussard, Antoinette and Michael Nassar, and the late George and Nassar Nassar.

He is also survived by nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was sheriff for St. James Parish from 1988 to 1992 and served on the St. James Parish School Board for 29 years.

Services were Jan. 19 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Convent, with interment at the church cemetery.
