BONNER

DES ALLEMANDS – Elizabeth Bergeron Bonner, 79, a native of Houma and resident of Des Allemands, died Oct. 4. She wasthe mother of Mary Ferris, Sherry Lee and Peter Billiot Jr.

She was also the sister of Lucille Chutter, Louise Ordoyne, Rita Morvant and Elie Bergeron.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were Oct. 6 at Des Allemands Baptist Church, with interment at Sunset Cemetery, Des Allemands.

CARTER

RESERVE – Celia “Bertha” Carter, 91, a native of White Castle, former resident of Reserve and resident of LaPlace, died Sept. 25. She was the wife of the late Joseph Carter Sr., and mother of Ethel Robertson, Patricia Jackson and James Carter Sr., and the late Theresa Coxie, Joseph Jr., Charles and Henry Carter.

She was also the sister of Gertrude Hubbard, Roseline Locket, Dorothy Henderson, the Rev. Walter and the Rev. Sidney Williams, and the late Beatrice Tickel, Ella Mae Ray, Margie Jackson, Pearlie Patterson, Ethel Henderson, Margie and the Rev. Robert Williamss.

She is also survived by 41 grandchildren, 101 great-grandchildren and 53 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Oct. 4 at Pilgrim Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at Asbury Cemetery, White Castle.

JACOB

LAPLACE – Ginger Jacob, 67, a native and resident of Reserve, died Oct. 3. She was the daughter of the late Victor and Abelle Klibert Jacob, and sister of David Jacob.

She was also the aunt of Victor, Nicole and Annabelle Jacob.

Services were Oct. 7 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

JOHNSON

LUTCHER -Ronald Lee “Pops” Johnson, 61, a native of Moline, Ill. and resident of Garyville, died Oct. 3. He was the husband of Cathy Johnson and father of Kim Jameson and Steven Johnson.

He was also the son of the late Lee Johnson.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a heavy-equipment mechanic.

Private graveside services were Oct. 6.

PFEFFERLE

NEW ORLEANS – Urban Julien Pfefferle, 79, a native and resident of New Orleans, died Sept. 29. He was the husband of Laura Cali Pfefferle, a native of LaPlace, and father of Anne Marie Burgard, Denise Bruce, Celeste and Dennis Pfefferle.

He was also the brother of Donald Pfefferle.

He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.

He was a retired chief engineer of the New Orleans Department of Streets. He was a U.S. Army sergeant during World War II. He was also financial secretary of the Knights of Columbus Council 3465 for 55 years. In 1978, he was awarded the St. Louis Medallion by the Archdiocese of New Orleans.

Services were Oct. 3 at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3.

ROBICHEAUX

NORCO – Mary Alice Trepagnier Robicheaux, 68, a native and resident of Norco, died Oct. 3. She was the former wife of Robert Robicheaux and mother of Diane Allen, Bobby Jr., Steve, Douglas, Todd and John Robicheaux.

She was also the daughter of the late Hypolite and Louise St. Martin Trepagnier, and sister of Mitchell Trepagnier, and the late Harry and George Trepagnier.

She is also survived by 11 grandchildren.

Services were Oct. 7 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.
