DEAR EDITOR:

I have a couple of questions for Sheriff Wayne Jones.
Do the deputies who work in the booking area lie about whether or not someone is still there? I have had enough lies and deceit to last a lifetime.
As you probably realize, everyone that holds any type of office in the sheriff’s office and the district attorney’s office has heard from me. Some of them know my case almost as well as I do and some of them have been very helpful.
Please tell me how a man who owes $55,000 in child support, who hides from the police, is located out of state, arrested and transported to St. John Parish jail, should be placed in the trustee dormitory? Why does he deserve privileges?
Where is this going to stop? What needs to be done to get justice for those that deserve it? Why would you make a deadbeat dad comfortable when my children and I have struggled for so long?
