BRASHEAR

NORCO – Regina Marie Breaud Brashear, 91, a native of St. James Parish, former resident of Norco for 62 years and resident of Poplarville, Miss., for 2 years, died May 10. She was the wife of the late Carmon Brashear, and mother of Juanita Laiche and Linda Beber.

She was also the daughter of the late John and Eliza Faucheaux Breaud, and sister of Elvira Laurent, and the late Theresa Carmelich, Maria Zeringue, Albert, J. Denis, Robert, Octave and Wilbert Breaud.

She is also survived by six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

Services were May 13 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.

FRANKLIN

LUTCHER – Irene Lee “Polk” Franklin, 77, a native and resident of Lutcher, died May 2. She was the wife of the late Isaac Franklin Sr., and mother of Mary Morris, Paula Mae Jones, Catherine Becnel, Walter Hansley Sr., Isaac Jr., George, Eddie, Freddie and Jerome Franklin, and the late Lionel Franklin Sr.

She was also the daughter of the late William and Catherine Lee and sister of the late Alma Lee Finley, Estrine Stafford, Shirley and William Lee Jr.

She is also survived by 32 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.

Services were May 10 at Israelite Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Paulina.

GAUTHREAUX

CONVENT – Curtis I. Gauthreaux, 68, a native and resident of Convent, died May 5. He was the husband of Felicia Gauthreaux, father of Chinita, Curtis Jr., Chadwick, Quinston and Prinston Gauthreaux, and stepfather of Zaryland Ervin.

He was also the son of the late Israel and Eva Gauthreaux, and brother of Inez Felton, Marcella Walker, Lucille Knatt, Yvonne Jasper, Edward and Israel Gauthreaux, and the late Clement and Clifford Gauthreaux.

He is also survived by six grandchildren.

He was a retired supervisor at Colonial Sugar Refinery in Gramercy.

Services were May 10 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Convent, with interment at the church cemetery.

RAYMOND

BOUTTE – Bobby Dwight Raymond Sr., 47, a native and resident of Hahnville, died May 5. He was the father of LaJuan, Shah’la and Bobby Raymond Jr.

He was also the son of Vera Raymond and brother of Yvonne Wolfe, Janet Elloie, Norbert and Jerry Gair Sr., Alfred Jr., Horace Sr., Billy Sr., Carl Sr. and David Raymond Sr.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

Services were May 10 at Mt. Airy Baptist Church, Boutte, with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.

SMITH

RESERVE – Joseph “Joe-Joe” Smith, 75, a native and resident of Reserve, died May 6. He was the husband of Aldonia Smith and father of Lorenza Carter, Betty Melancon, Wanda Young, Yvette Thomas and Vanessa Greenup.

He was also the brother of Janice Frazier. He is preceded in death by brothers and sisters.

He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Services were May 10 at St. Joe Missionary Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at Bishop Cemetery-Marathon, Garyville.

STEPHENS

MT. AIRY – Rosalie Love Stephens, 51, a native and resident of Mt. Airy, died May 5. She was the daughter of Deloris Lemmon Love, and the late Ernest Love, and sister of Ernest Polk, Bobbie Jean Gomes, Geraldine, Alexander, Alfred, James, the Rev. Henry, Charles and Clarence Love, and the late Ernestine Chambers and Sharon Love.

Services were May 12 at St. John Baptist Church, Mt. Airy, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions.
