ELMWOOD – Gregory C. Lier of Luling was recently elected president of the Elmwood Business Association. Lier is a vice president of Rathborne Land Co., developers of Willowridge Estates and other communities in St. Charles Parish.

Rathborne owns nearly 500,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space in the Elmwood Business Park.

He has served as chairman of the Economic Development Council of St. Charles Parish, a past president of the St. Charles Rotary Club, and a past commissioner of the Port of South Louisiana.

He is an active Rotarian and also teaches a Junior Achievement class in the St. Charles Parish school system.

The Elmwood Business Association, founded in 1970, represents the interests of the Elmwood business community, which includes 1,300 businesses, employing more than 28,000 people.
