CARMOUCHE

DESTREHAN – Earl P. Carmouche, 76, a native and resident of St. Rose, died Nov. 10. He was the husband of Elsie Sanchez Carmouche.

He was the son of the late Anna Simon and Fulgence Carmouche and brother of Ethel Mancuso and Beulah, Emmett, James, Don, Allen, Harry and the late Annette, Rene, Irvin and Herbert Carmouche.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and received the World War II Victory Medal. He was a member of American Legion Post 366 for 29 years.

He was a retired supervisor at Westbank Metal in Westwego.

Services were Nov. 12 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment at the church cemetery.

DORNIER

GONZALES – Claude Maurice Dornier, 50, a native of Convent and resident of Prairieville, died Nov. 11.

Services are today at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Ourso Funeral Home, Gonzales, with interment at St. Michael Mausoleum, Convent.

HEINE

LUTCHER – Horace “Mike” Heine, 29, a native of Metairie and resident of Paulina for 18 years, died Nov. 9. He was the husband of Jennifer Heine and father of Amber Heine.

He was the son of Grady and Margaret Olivier Heine and brother of Kathleen Carelli and Brian, Charles and Roger Heine.

He was also the grandson of Julia Heine.

Services were Nov. 12 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.

JOSEPH

HARVEY – James “Uncle Jimmie” Joseph Sr., 90, a native of Wallace and resident of Marrero for 63 years, died Nov. 8. He was the father of Altia Lee and Irvin and James Joseph Jr.

He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

He was a retired longshoreman.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Baptist Church, Harvey, with interment at Evening Star Cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

LEWIS

LAPLACE – Maxine Nora Lewis, 80, a native of Texas and resident of LaPlace for 40 years, died Nov. 11. She was the wife of the late Chester Lewis and mother of Randy, George and the late Diane Lewis.

She is also survived by one grandchild.

Services are today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

LIPPS

RESERVE – Melva Mae Lipps, 77, a native of Reserve and resident of LaPlace for two and a half years, died Nov. 6. She was the wife of the late Louis Adam Lipps Sr. and mother of Sybil and Louis Lipps Jr.

She was the daughter of the late Victoria Martin and Walter Gerard Sr. and sister of the late Geraldine Batiste, Norma Brignac, Irby Charles and Walter Gerard Jr.

She is also survived by three grandchildren.

She was a retired teacher and seamstress.

Services were Nov. 12 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

MABILE

LAPLACE – Leslie Lasseigne Mabile, 91, a native and resident of Reserve, died Nov. 9. She was the wife of the late Paul Mabile and mother of Gloria Triche.

She was the daughter of the late Wallace and Noelie Haydel Lasseigne and sister of Mabel Montz, Ruby Dubroc and the late Jennie Mabile and Robert, Thelma, Larry and Roline Lasseigne.

She is also survived by three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

She was a former typesetter from the late 1930s to the late 1960s for L’Observateur and the daughter of the newspaper’s founder.

Services were Nov. 11 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

MASON

RESERVE – Ethel Mason, 88, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Nov. 5. She was the wife of the late McKenzie Bywater and mother of Louise Bywater.

She was the daughter of the late Louise Roussell and Charles Mason and sister of Charles and the late Mary Mason.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

PERRER

COLUMBIA, Miss. – Eugene Paul Perrer, 65, a native of Des Allemands and resident of Bassfield, Miss. for 27 years, died Nov. 9. He ws the husband of Carol K. Perrer, father of Eugene Perrer Jr. and stepfather of Toni Harrell and Pamela Moellenberg.

He was the son of Elma Perrer and brother of Dean Perrer.

He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was a retired electrician.

Services were Nov. 11 in the chapel of Colonial Funeral Home, Columbia, Miss.

SCOTT

NEW ORLEANS – Myles Scott Sr., 78, a native of Paulina and resident of New Orleans for 58 years, died Nov. 7. He was the father of Albert Abbott and Irma, Catherine, Theresa, Joyce, Donna, Hester, Myles Jr., Michael and David Scott.

He was the brother of Orlene Williams.

He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Army veteran.

Services are today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of D.W. Rhodes Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Providence Memorial Park. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
