ADAMS

ALGIERS – Marie Harrison Adams, 94, a native of Vacherie and resident of Gretna for the past 52 years, died Oct. 20. She was the wife of the late George Adams and mother of Dorothy Bowser, Mildred Daniels, Barbara Terry and Russell, Thomas Sr., Nelson, Mark and the late Roland, Milton and George Adams Jr.

She was the daughter of the late George and Suzanne Dupard Harrison and sister of the late Vivian Chopin, Clonise Osborne and Felicien and Alvin Harrison.

She is also survived by 51 grandchildren, 125 great-grandchildren and 74 great-great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, Algiers, with interment at McDonoghville Cemetery, Gretna. Visitation begins at 8 a.m.

ANDERSON

NEW ORLEANS – Lucille Rose LeBoeuf Anderson, 91, a native of Welcome and resident of New Orleans for many years, died Oct. 21. She was the wife of the late John Anderson Sr. and mother of Andrian White, Annette Celestin, Veronica Hunter, Rositta Epps, Lucille, John Jr. and Michael Anderson and the late Barbara Baudy and Joseph Anderson.

She was the daughter of the late George Sr. and Viola Villavaso LeBoeuf and sister of the late Mamie Brown and Edna and George LeBoeuf Jr. She is survived by 28 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by two grandchildren.

Services were Oct. 24 at St. Phillip the Apostle Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park.

BAZILE

VACHERIE – Lorphian K. “Noochie” Bazile, 20, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Oct. 21 He was the son of Lawrence Sr. and Linda Bazile and brother of Lawrence Jr., LaJuan and La-Gamond Bazile.

He was the grandchild of the late Curb and Wilhemia Armant and Alivin and Joanna Bazile.

Services were Oct. 25 at Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.

ELLIS

GARYVILLE – Nelson J. Ellis Jr., 84, a native of Convent and resident of Garyville for many years, died Oct. 21.

He was the husband of the late Rose Jones Ellis and father of Norma Jean Louis and Barry Sr., Kenneth Sr. Norman, Vernon and Steven Ellis Sr.

He was the son of the late Nelson Sr. and Neolie Ellis.

He is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment at St. Michael Cemetery, Convent. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

GATLIN

PRAIRIEVILLE – Dauphine Mire Gatlin, 77, a native of Convent and resident of Prairieville, died Oct. 21. She was the mother of Veda Thomas and the sister of Theresa and Adolph Mire, Ernestine Kelson, Diane Olive, Doris Williams and Bessie Magee.

She is also survive by four grandchildren and five grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Magee Funeral Home with interment at Providence Memorial Park.

HUBBELL

VACHERIE – Judith Folse Hubbell, 55, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Oct. 23.

She was the wife of Charles Hubbell and mother of Angela and Kerry Waguespack and Chris and Shane Hubbell.

She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Yolande Brazan Folse and sister of Elizabeth Jraemer and Therese Legendre.

She is also survived by four grandchildren.

Services were Oct. 25 at Our Lady of Peace Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church mausoleum.

JONES

PAULINA – Mildred Morris Jones, 79, a resident of Lutcher, died Oct. 19. She was the wife of the late Rev. Samuel Jones Sr. and mother of Yolanda Williams, Brenda Manuel, Joyce Jacques and Cadera, Samuel Jr., Bernard, Derek, Rodney and Arnold Jones.

She was the daughter of the late Louis Sr. and Orelia Gussett Morris and sister of Shirley Cook, Lionel, Leonard and Louis Jones Jr. and the late Hazel Richardson, Annie Striggs and Eddie Morris.

She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church, Paulina, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.

McDONALD

NORCO – Carey V. McDonald Sr., 66, a native of Alabama and resident of Montz for 19 years, died Oct. 21. He was the husband of Theresa McDonald and father of Carey Jr., Richard and the late Ronnie McDonald.

He was the brother of Harry, Desmond, Dean, Hazel, Bobby and the late Aubrey and Eldred McDonald.

Services were Oct. 24 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.

PETERS

BATON ROUGE – Matthew Gerald Peters, 2, a native and resident of Baton Rouge, died Oct. 10. He was the son of Douglas and Ginger Peters and brother of Mark and Jared Peters.

He was the grandchild of Gerald and Sharon Deroche of Paulina and Margaret and the late Jerry Peters.

Memorial services were Oct. 25 at Cross Point Baptist Church, Baton Rouge.

RISPER

NEW ORLEANS – Luebirtha Risper, 90, a native of Lutcher and resident of New Orleans for 52 years, died Oct. 20. She was the mother of Willie Mae Washington, Ollie Branch and Clifton Sr., Vincent and Leonard Risper.

She was the sister of Violet Pinkney.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, New Orleans, with interment at Resthaven Memorial Park. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

ROBINSON

RESERVE – David “Crockett” “Sarge” Robinson Sr., 65, a native of New Orleans and resident of Reserve for 42 years, died Oct. 20. He was the husband of Shirley Cook Robinson and the father of Karen Jones, Marcel Wallace, Uneika Henderson and David Jr. and Yvette Robinson.

He was the son of the late Jessie and Beethal Robinson and brother of Marcel Hodges, Doris, Brenda, James, Ray and Jessie Robinson Jr. and the late Mae Samders amd Eula Robinson.

He is also survived by six grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.

ROBISKIE

EDGARD – Romalie Angelina Robiskie, 82, a native and resident of Edgard, died Oct. 19. She was the wife of the late Earl Robiskie and mother of Adele Eubaire and Calvin Robiskie Sr. and stepmother Eileen and Arleen Robiskie.

She was the daughter of the late Armontine and Angelo Barre and sister of Adele Barre.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation begins at 8 a.m.

SIMON

UNION – Pelham Benoit Simon, 74, a native of Vacherie and resident of Gramercy, died Oct. 24. He was the husband of Lillian Davidson Simon and stepfather of Lillie Jantz, Nora Adams, Sallie Beckes and Jonothan and Alvin “Tommy” Norris.

He was the son of the late Prudent and Olphida Simon and brother of the late Allen, Floyd and Neil Simon and the late Eunice Abadie, Rose Villnerve, Pearl Attenhoffer and Vivian, Prudent Jr., Daniel, Vincent and Lawrence Simon.

He is also survived by seven stepgrandchildren and six stepgreat-grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church, Union, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

TASSIN

ST. JAMES – Diane Tassin, 53, a native and resident of St. James, died Oct. 20. She was the daughter of the late Melvin Sr. and Evelyn Mitchell Tassin and sister of Natalie Braud, Brenda Jones, Mable Narcisse, Francis Dumas, Cheryl James, Melvin Sr., Leroy and Earl Tassin and the late Rosemary Jones and Joseph Tassin Sr.

Services were Oct. 25 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment at the church cemetery.

WEBER

ST. JAMES – Rory G. Weber Sr., 25, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Oct. 21.

He was the father of Rory Weber Jr.

He was the son of Harriet R. Weber and the late Raleigh Weber Sr. and brother of Roschia, Raleigh Jr. and Reydaishune Weber.

He was the grandchild of Idelma and the late John Roussell and Russell and Myrtle Weber.

Services were Oct. 24 at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment at the church cemetery.
