DAIGRE

RESERVE – Aldonia Mills Daigre, 62, a native and resident of Garyville, died Sept. 26. She was the wife of Johnny Daigre St. and the mother of Demetria Monroe, Andrea Anderson, Glenda Duperclay, Darlene, Johnny Jr., Bryant Sr., Ronnie and Durell Daigre.

She was the daughter of the late Alex Sr. and Sedonia Mills and sister of Alex and Joseph Mills.

She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were Oct. 3 at Greater New Mount Zion Baptist Church, Garyville, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Reserve.

FRABBIELE

ST. ROSE – Frank Joseph “Buddy” Frabbiele, 61, a native of New Orleans and resident of St. Rose, died Sept. 12. He was the husband of Barbara Desormoore Frabbiele and father of Samantha Smith and Melissa, Brian, Bret and Mark Fabbiele.

He was the brother of Lewis Frabbiele and Theresa Acosta.

He is also survived by two grandchildren.

A memorial service was previously held.

LIBERTO

METARIE – John Joseph Liberto, 90, a native of Garyville and resident of Metairie, died Sept. 28. He was the husband of the late Kathryn Cordilla Liberto and father of John and Ignatius “Nat” Liberto.

He was the son of the late Vincent and Mary Suriano Liberto and brother of Ignatius Liberto, Virginia Koster and the late Josephine Roussel, Theresa Meteye, Lena Lala and Bernard, Gasper and Anthony Liberto.

He is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were Oct. 2 at Lake Lawn Metairie Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Metairie Cemetery, Metairie.

NARCISSE

BRIDGE CITY – Kurbit “Dusty” Narcisse Sr., 83, a native of Vacherie and resident of Bridge City, died Sept. 26. He was the husband of Lodia Narcisse and the father of Lodia Garrison, Leona Richardson, Rosemary Mithcell, Dorothy Jackson, Linda Wilder and Thomas, Clarence, Nelson, Lynwood and Curbit Narcisse.

He was the brother of Mary Albert, Eunice Alexander, Vanilla Johnson, Jeanetta Sanders and Robert and Cuzzy Narcisse.

He is also survived by 63 grandchildren and 36 grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at Second Salvation Baptist Church, Bridge City, with interment at Restlawn Park, Avondale. Visitation begins at 8 a.m.

OUBRE

PLAQUEMINE – Feligon J. “Bro” Oubre, 76, a native of Vacherie and resident of Plaquemine, died Sept. 30. He was the husband of Carolyn Oubre and the father of Sharon, Blake and Cyril Oubre.

He was the son of the late Naville Sr. and Violet Oubre and brother of Mora Haynes, Camille Allen, Venita Perkins, Mae Baker, Navilla Johnson and Naville Oubre Jr.

He is also survived by seven grandchildren.

Services Oct. 3 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, Plaquemine, with interment at Grace Memorial Park.

TURNER

MARRERO – Hazel Mozella Brown Turner, 88, a native of Ama and resident of Marrero, died Sept. 27. She was the wife of the late Rev. Louis Turner and mother of Edward Turner, Ethel Flagg and the late Carrie Allen and Delores, Emile and Nolan Turner.

She was the daughter of the late Rev. Jules Brown Sr. and Octavia Banks Brown and sister of Alma Chase, Ruth Helton and the late Mary Williams, Melvina Tate, Elnora Walker and Milton, Samuel, Edward, Luke, Jules and Thomas Brown.

She is also survived by 26 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Oct. 3 at Morning Star Baptist Church, Marrero, with interment at Bright Star Cemetery.

WHITE

MARRERO – Virginia “Ellen” White, 21, a native of Killona and resident of Marrero, died Sept. 21. She was the mother of Joann Pryer and Willie Jr., Donald Sr., Evans and Charles Dennis.

Services were Oct. 27 at St. Joseph Baptist Church with interment at Restlawn Cemetery.
