RESERVE – An 11-year-old Reserve girl reportedly became the victim twice of sexual battery by 16-year-old Reserve boys.

Capt. Michael Tregre of the St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office said the alleged victim attended a sleepover on June 28 with a female friend. During the night, the 16-year-old brother of the friend enticed the 11-year-old to lay with him and allow him to fondle her.

She got away from him and the alleged incident was not repeated.

However, Tregre continued, on July 11, the victim came to the same house, where she encountered a 16-year-old male friend of the previous suspect. This person attempted to force the girl into oral sex before she could get away from him.

She recently told her parents of both incidents, and they notified the sheriff’s office July 29.

One of the 16-year-olds is in custody, and the other was being sought as of press time Tuesday afternoon. The first will be charged with sexual battery, and the other with oral sexual battery. Each will be released on personal surety bond, set by 40th Judicial District Judge J. Sterling Snowdy.
