Reader responds to shelter director

DEAR EDITOR: Somehow the focus of my letter became twisted by Ms. (Linda) Allen’s comments. I did not mind “bailing” my dog out of that dog pound. What I did mind is the lack of concern demonstrated by animal control over the other two dogs.

NO attempt was made to corral the other two dogs. The employee took the easy way by containing an already-captured dog.

What about the other two? What about your dog? If every dog that is redeemed costs money (and rightfully so), surely some of this money funds the shelter or their salaries.

Shouldn’t that translate into a work ethic which suggests that they work a little harder rather than just capitalizing off of what a good Samaritan has already accomplished?
