Douet promoted to Taft plant general manager

TAFT – Entergy Nuclear South recently announced that Operations Manager Randy Douet, Waterford 3 Nuclear Station, was promoted to general manager of the plant in Taft.
In his new position, Douet will report to site Vice President Joe Venable.
Douet joined Entergy in January 1983 as an operator at Arkansas Nuclear One in Russellville, Ark. While at ANO, he also worked in the nuclear quality department and in maintenance, advancing to manager for Unit 1 maintenance in 1991. In 1994, Douet worked with the team establishing Entergy’s culture and practices at River Bend Station in St. Francisville. He was director, plant projects and support until 1996, when he became maintenance manager. Douet moved to Waterford 3 as maintenance manager in the summer of 1997 and was named operations manager in March 2000. Douet earned a bachelor’s degree in physics at Arkansas Tech University. He was a licensed reactor operator at ANO and received senior reactor operator certification at RBS.
Early Ewing, former Waterford 3 plant manager, was recently tapped for a role in Entergy Nuclear’s fleet. Ewing will provide leadership to projects for Entergy Nuclear’s operating regions in the South and the Northeast. He will work out of Entergy Nuclear’s headquarters in Jackson, Miss.
Ewing began his Entergy career in 1972 at Arkansas Nuclear One. He advanced in numerous positions there as well as River Bend Nuclear Station before coming to Waterford in 1997. Ewing was named plant manager in 2000. He has a bachelor’s degree in nuclear engineering from Mississippi State University and obtained a senior reactor operator’s license for Unit 2 at Arkansas Nuclear One.
