BECNEL

RESERVE – Donald Paul Becnel, 51, a native of Reserve and resident of St. Amant for 13 years, died May 13. He was the husband of Melinda Berthelot Becnel and father of Scott and Marci Becnel.

He was the son of the late Leo and Viola Scioneaux Becnel and brother of Pauline Stein, Bertha Vicknair and Walter, Larry and the late Roger and Leon Becnel.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8:30 a.m.

BOURG

METAIRIE – Madeline LeBlanc Bourg, 80, a native of Morganza, former resident of Harahan and resident of LaPlace, died May 12. She was the wife of the late Sidney Bourg and mother of Kathy LaBorde, Loretta Arceneaux and Elaine, Kenneth and the late Maurice “Reese” Bourg.

She was the daughter of the late Leonce and Loretta LeBlanc and brother of Doris Landry, Frances Blanchard, Leroy LeBlanc and the late Lucille Profito and Nelson LeBlanc.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Garden of Memories. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.

CAMBRE

LAPLACE – William Jennings Cambre, 88, a native of Reserve and resident of LaPlace for 52 years, died May 12. He was the husband of the late Beulah Clement Cambre and father of Mary Oncale, Donna Chauvin and William Jr. and Donald Cambre.

He was the son of the late Francois and Marie Lasseigne Cambre and brother of Lucille Duhe and the late Francois Cambre and Louis “Toot” Cambre.

He formed a jazz band in the 1940’s, entertaining many area residents.

He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were May 14 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

GORDON

EDGARD – Harold Gordon, 56, a native and resident of Wallace, died April 27. He was the son of the late Israel Sr. and Alma Gordon and brother of Geraldine Boudoin, Juanita Gillard, Aleatha Bethancourt and Semius, James, Thomas and Israel Gordon Jr.

Services were May 11 at New St. Peter Baptist Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery.

KELLER

SOUTH VACHERIE – Linda Ann Keller, 53, a native and resident of Vacherie, died May 12. She was the mother of Demetrice Lewis and Adele Keller.

She was the daughter of Charles and Septemia Keller and sister of Peggy Kelly, Maxine Spurlock and Theresa, Gayle, Lisa, Ricky, Troy and the late Kenneth and Charles Keller Jr.

She is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, South Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

RODRIGUEZ

BOUTTE – David Rodriguez, 47, a native of New Orleans and resident of Boutte, died May 7.

He was the companion of Pamela Torres and the brother of Paul Rodriguez and Amy Orgeron.

Private services were held.

SALMONS

LAPLACE – Ullaine Lancey Salmons, 78, a native of East St. Louis, Ill., and resident of LaPlace for 25 years, died May 9. She was the wife of the late Lt. Cmdr. Luther Salmons and mother of Linda Bugner.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were May 13 at First Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at Biloxi National Cemetery, Biloxi, Miss.
