ANDERSON
RESERVE – Mary Louise “Mother Dear” Anderson, 71, a native of Montz and resident of Garyville, died April 16. She was the wife of the Rev. Wesley Anderson Sr. and mother of Mary Cambre, Joyce Washington, Avis Morris and Russell and the Rev. Wesley Anderson Jr.
She was the daughter of the late Albert Anderson and Mary Wilson and sister of Luberta Sellers, Victoria and James Wilson, Brenda Anderson and the late Hayward, Howard and Earline Wilson. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Beechgrove Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
GARRISON
LUTCHER – Louisa Treaudo “Ma-Mert” Garrison, 103, a native and resident of Lutcher, died April 24. She was the mother of Ethel Clay, Augustine Favorite and the late Hazel Aubert.
She was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Lillie Jones Treaudo and sister of Alma Dennis, Lillie Octave, Joshua Treaudo and the late Isabella, Redella, Gertrude, Edna, Millie, Alvin, Welmer Sr., Clarence, Benjamin, Burl and the Rev. Alexander Treaudo Sr. She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at King David Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at Golden Wreath Cemetery, Lutcher. Visitation starts at 9:30 a.m.
HARRIS
MARRERO – Eva B. Thomas Walker Harris, 73, a native of St. James Parish and resident of Marrero, died April 20. She was the mother of Edna Caldwell, Doris Green-Mills, Ora Weber, Margaret Mitchell, Eva and Matthew Thomas and Samuel Walker Jr.
She was the sister of Helen Evans, Stanley Bolds and Alvin Martin. She is also survived by 21 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Services were April 26 at Second Zion Baptist Church, Marrero, with private interment.
MARTIN
PAULINA – Eugenie “Mein” Louque Martin, 84, a native and resident of Paulina, died April 22. She was the wife of the late Nichol Martin and mother of the late Charles Martin.
She was the daughter of the late Barthelemi and Alice Louque and sister of Bertha Ockman and the late Adela Ordeneaux, Alicia Laiche, Bridget Vallette and Jennings, Emmett, Raymond, Numa “Tip,” John and Russell Louque.
Services were April 25 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum.
MICHAEL
GRAMERCY – Harold “T-Teta” Michael Jr., died April 22. He was the husband of Audrey Mae Michael and father of Lyndell, Deyard and Michelle Michael and stepfather of Darryl Hidaldgo and Dwayne and Nero Miles. He was the son of the late Harold Sr. and Eva Mae Michael, stepson of Geraldine Michael, brother of Evangelist Yvonne Gaines, Faye Gray and Anthony Michael and stepbrother of Lorraine Bologna, Marie Washington and the late Pamela Love and Kevin Thomas. He is also survived by a host of grandchildren.
He was a cement finisher at Horace Cement and a National Guardsman for five years.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at New Zion Full Gospel Baptist Church, Gramercy, with interment at Western Cemetery, Lutcher. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
PREGEANT
DONALDSONVILLE – Julia Tucker Pregeant, 80, a native of Ponchatoula and resident of LaPlace for the past three years, died April 23. She was the wife of the late Thomas Pregeant Jr. and mother of Julie Folse, Madelyne Russo, Yvette Kane and Tom, William, Russell and the late Malcolm Pregeant.
She was also the sister of Louise Lauter and Bobby Tucker.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were April 26 at First United Methodist Church, Donaldsonville, with interment at Donaldsonville Protestant Cemetery.
