HAHNVILLE – The Destrehan High School Fighting Wildcats continued their unbeaten district record, 10-0, by beating rival Hahnville High School 5-3 in Hahnville Saturday. DHS freshman pitcher, Beau Jones (4-1), threw 109 pitches for a complete game and held off the HHS Tigers, who attempted to take the lead with the bases loaded in the bottom of the seventh inning.

With two outs, second baseman Larry McVay grabbed the grounder for the final out at first base. The win keeps the Fighting Wildcats atop district 6-5A by two games.
