Coburn conducts public forums

RESERVE – Parents, students and community leaders of St. John the Baptist Parish are invited to attend a series of public forums with school board Superintendent Michael Coburn on how to improve parish schools.
Coburn will be at Fifth Ward Elementary School in Reserve tonight to answer questions from the audience.
This will be the third round of forums Coburn has held since he was hired by the school board in July 2001.
“It will be important to incorporate our parents’ comments in our upcoming discussions for short- and long-range strategic plans,” said Coburn.
More information about the forums can be found by calling the school board’s central office at 1-800-296-1106. The meetings will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m at the following dates and locations:
Monday – Garyville/Mt. Airy Math & Science Magnet.
Tuesday – West St. John Elementary.
March 13 – LaPlace Elementary.
March 18 – Glade School.
March 19 – Leon Godchaux Junior High.
March 20 – West St. John High.
March 25 – East St. John High.
