BOUDREAUX
UNION – Henrietta Weber Boudreaux, 91, a native and resident of Union, died Jan. 14. She was the wife of the late Louis Boudreaux.
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Estelle Sarazin Weber and sister of the late Philomene and Richard Weber.
She is survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was a retired insurance agent.
Services are today at noon at St. Mary Catholic Chapel, Union, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
HUBBELL
METAIRIE – Lester J. Hubbell, 92, a native of Vacherie and resident of Metairie for 60 years, died Jan. 11. He was the husband of M. Inez Richard Hubbell and father of Margaret Brazda, Maria Clayton and Gerald Hubbell.
He was the son of the late Arthur and Aline Waguespack Hubbell and brother of the late Marie Scheuermann, Theresa Harris and Paul and Raymond Hubbell.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
He was a retired store manager of A&P Tea Company after 43 years and was also a recipient of the St. Louis Medal.
Services were Jan. 14 at St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church, Metairie, with interment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.
TASSIN
LAPLACE – Heloise Simoneaux Tassin, 91, a native of Montz and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 11. She was the wife of the late Watson Tassin and mother of Lilly Dufrene, Betty Madere, Shirley Evans, Dorothy McConathy, and the late Fay Duhe and Jeanne Perilloux.
She was the daughter of the late Felix and Sedonia Vicknair Simoneaux and sister of Felix Simoneaux Jr. and the late Albertine Perilloux, Sedonia Labat and Murphy, Clarence, F.A., Edgar and Melvin Simoneaux.
She is also survived by 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren and one step-great-great-grandchild.
Services were Jan. 14 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
VANCOURT
ALGIERS – Herman Joseph Vancourt Sr., 87, a native of Convent and resident of Gretna, died Jan. 12. He was the husband of Florestine Celestin Vancourt and father of Glinda Williams, Althea Druhet and Herman and Ulysses Vancourt.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at All Saints Catholic Church, Algiers, with interment at St. Michael Cemetery, Convent. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
VICTOR
NEW ORLEANS – Olivia Brown Victor, 82, a native of Vacherie and resident of New Orleans for the past four years, died Jan. 10. She was the wife of the Rev. Alexander Victor Sr. and mother of Catherine Raphael, Brennetter Castille, Robert Jr., Randolph, Alexander Victor Jr. and the late Geraldine Tate and adopted mother of Rene Davenport and Vicelee Percy.
She was the daughter of the late Eddie and Octavia Smallwood Brown and sister of the late Velma Jewel and Cornelius, Isiah, Eddie and Alfred Brown.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at Restlawn Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
WEICK
LAPLACE – Gloria Weick, 77, a native and longtime resident of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace for five years, died Jan. 13. She was the wife of the late Anthony J. Weick Sr. and mother of Lori Schultz and Jay, Glenn and David Weick.
She was the daughter of the late Vincent and Violet Jones Cerniglia and stepdaughter of the late David Mertz.
She is also survived by three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and three step-grandchildren.
Memorial services were Jan. 15 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace.
WILLIAMS
BATON ROUGE – Lloyd R. Williams, 87, a native of Reserve and resident of Baton Rouge for 60 years, died Jan. 13.
He was the husband of Frances Barbier Williams and father of Janet Dubuc, Ann Cifreo and Lloyd, Harold and the late Mark Williams.
He was the son of the late Octave and Marcee’ Duhe Williams and brother of Marguerite Talley, Audrey Bienvenu, Allen Williams Sr. and the late Marie Benoit, June Wilson and Antoine, Sidney and Roy Williams.
He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was retired from Ethyl Corp. after 34 years.
Services are today at 10:30 a.m. at St. Jude Catholic Church, Baton Rouge, with interment at Resthaven Cemetery.
