BOUDREAUX
LUTCHER – Ellis Joseph Boudreaux, 82, a native of Grand Point and resident of Gramercy, died Sept. 18. He was the husband of Dorothy Haydel Boudreaux and father of Ellis Jr., Wayne Sr. and Randy Boudreaux.
He was the son of the late Prosper and Adela Rome Boudreaux and brother of Murry Boudreaux. He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by six grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 20 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Lutcher, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina.
DOTTOLO
LAPLACE – Felix P. “Brother” Dottolo Jr., 52, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Sept. 20. He was the husband of Debbie Dottolo and father of Scarlette and Duffy Dottolo.
He was the son of Hazel Madere Dottolo and brother of Maria Galiano, Paulette Fulton and Donald Dottolo.
He was the owner of Cliff’s Lounge in LaPlace.
Services are today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
MONTZ
LAPLACE – Armand Michel Montz Jr., 84, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Sept. 19. He was the husband of Marie-Therese Maurin Montz and father of Sharon Brady, Gretchen Schexnayder and Jeffrey, Gerard and the late Armand Montz III.
He was the son of the late Armand and Aline Perilloux Montz and brother of Nemours Montz and the late Alice Maurin.
He is survived by 12 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, worked in his father’s business, A. Montz & Co., and Reserve Telephone Company.
He received the Order of St. Louis Medallion in 1988.
Services were Sept. 21 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
SEYMOUR
MONTZ – Anna Bell Seymour, 62, a native of Montz and resident of LaPlace, died Sept. 15. She was the mother of Sherrie Daniels, Mavis Seymour, Sylvia Holmes and Wendy, Chris, Clyde, Anthony and the late Crystal Pollard.
She was the daughter of the late Willie and Victoria Seymour and sister of Joe Louis, Lois Washington, Beverly Smith, Willie Lee Alexander, Yvonne Stephens, Elaine Eubanks and Lana Faye Boston.
She is survived by 26 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at Providence Baptist Church No. 2, Montz, with interment at Montz Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
SMITH
EDGARD – Freddie “Cussy” Smith, 58, a native and resident of Edgard, died Sept. 15. He was the husband of Dorothy Grows-Smith and father of Jarita Julien, Karen, Felicia, Anthony and Allen Smith Sr. and Joshua Johnson.
He was the brother of Ernestine Traylor, Gerald Hebert and Gary Smith.
He is survived by nine grandchildren. He was a former employee of Caire & Graugnard in Edgard.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at Second African Baptist Church, Edgard, with interment at Young’s Cemetery, Edgard. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
WINIFIELD
ST. JAMES – Velma Winifield, 80, a native of St. James and resident of Alexandria, Va., for the past five years, died Sept. 14. She was the wife of the late Thomas Winifield Jr. and mother of Judith Ambrose, Cecilia Harrell, Margaret Dorsey, Wilbert Hogan Jr. and Dianne, Paul Sr. and the late Thomas Winifield III.
She was the sister of Prunelia Buggage and the late Maude Goodwin and Melvin Landry. She is survived by 21 grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
