ST. ROSE – Two St. Rose teen-agers were recently arrested for the alleged rape of a 15-year-old Harvey girl. The suspects, Aaron Stoker, 19, 305 St. Rose Ave., and a 15-year-old St. Rose boy were each charged with simple rape, with bonds of $200,000 set by 29th Judicial District Judge Robert Chaisson. Additional arrests are expected, according to a police spokesman. In addition, three others have been charged with being a principal to the crime of rape. These were Robert Williams 19, 606 St. Rose Ave., Lionel Beebe, 19, 131 Eisenhower St., and a 16-year-old St. Rose boy, St. Charles Parish Sheriff Greg Champagne said. According to Capt. Patrick Yoes, on July 3, Jefferson Parish sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of two women arguing in the street on Lyden Street. When they arrived, they found an unconscious girl lying in the street, partially clothed. She was taken to East Jefferson Hospital, where it was discovered she had been sexually assaulted. It was learned through questioning of the victim that she was encouraged by a girlfriend to take a ride with the five males. During the ride, the group made frequent stops in Jefferson and St. Charles parishes for alcohol and drugs. Eventually, the group ended up at a residence in the 100 block of Eisenhower Street in St. Rose, where the girl was allegedly raped. Stoker, Beebe and Williams were additionally charged with contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile. The investigation is ongoing.
