CAMP

LAPLACE – Ruth Stucky Camp, 68, a native of Chicago and resident of LaPlace for 43 years, died Aug. 19. She was the wife of Rodney Camp and mother of Jill Williams and Teresa “Terri,” Brenda, Chris and Tasha Camp. She is survived by two sisters, five brothers, 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services are today at 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

ERDOS

METAIRIE – Ethel P. Erdos, 79, a native of Wall Township, N.J., and resident of Destrehan for 22 years, died Aug. 18. She was the wife of the late John Erdos and mother of Jane McCampbell and John Erdos. She is survived by four grandchildren. Services were Aug. 21 in the chapel of Lamana-Pallo-Fallo Funeral Home with private interment.

FREEMAN

KENNER – Florisca Freeman, 73, a native of Edgard and resident of Kenner, died Aug. 19. She was the wife of Mose B. Freeman and mother of Suzette Conner and Ralph and Joellis Freeman. She was the sister of Bonita Walker, Annette Larks, Marie Coco and Clarence Victoria. She is survived by seven grandchildren. Services are today at 10 a.m. at Nativity of Our Lord Catholic Church, Kenner, with interment at Providence Memorial Park. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

HOWARD

VACHERIE – Percy Howard Sr., 78, a native of Vacherie and resident of Marrero, died Aug. 15. He was the husband of Ruby Zeno Howard and father of Rose Garrison, Carmen Jackson and Tyrone, Elston, Carl, the Rev. Percy Jr. and the late Melvin Howard. He was the son of the late Ernest and Nettie Lewis Howard and brother of Dorothy Batiste, Oregon Howard and the late Ruth Harris and Penny and the Rev. Ernest Howard. He is survived by 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. He was a retired welder at Avondale Shipyards. Services were Aug. 20 at Mt. Pilgrim Fourth Baptist Church, Algiers, and at Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, with interment at First Baptist Church Cemetery, Vacherie.

JAQUILLARD

HAHNVILLE – Henry C. Jaquillard, 57, a native of New Orleans and resident of Hahnville for 30 years, died Aug. 17. He was the husband of Janet Robert Jaquillard and father of Carrie Marshall and Tricia Bordelon. He was the son of the late Alvin Jaquillard and Louise Morgan Gogreve and brother of Dolores Gee and William Morgan. He is survived by three grandchildren. He was a retired production technician at Union Carbide and he was a graduate of Alcee Fortier High School and served as a U.S. Marine Corps staff sergeant, 1961-1964. Services were Aug 20 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville, with interment at the church cemetery, Taft.
