“We’re Looking for You in 2002” was the slogan at the National Association of Counties Conference NACo held recently in Philadelphia. St. Charles Parish was represented by Corey Faucheux, director of Economic Development & Tourism, Trudy Deshotels, left, market development research assistant, and Angela Matherne, right, period interpreter from Destrehan plantation. NACo 2002 will be held in New Orleans and the department has been working with local attractions in an effort to entice convention delegates to visit St. Charles while attending the conference, according to Faucheux. All conference attendees in Philadelphia were invited to come find St. Charles Parish and see it is truly a place “Where There’s More to Life,” said Deshotels.
