A free parenting workshop on communication (part two of two)
is from 10:30 a.m. to noon at the Kingsley House Family Resource Center, 429 W. Airline Highway, Suite LL, LaPlace. The workshop is for adults only, no children. Call 497-3260 to register.
Free art classes for St. Charles Parish senior citizens, age 60 and up,
are from noon to 3 p.m. at the New Sarpy Senior Citizen Center. The class is taught by local artist and member of the Le Petit Art Guild Edie Corso. Supplies are furnished by St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department. Call Lois Eugene at 764-2412 to join.
The Cambridge Colony Community Group

is at 1 p.m. at B.B.s in LaPlace. A dinner will also be served at noon.St. Charles Parish senior citizens Computer Club, for seniors 60 and over, meets at 1:30 p.m. for beginners class and at 3 p.m. for the advanced class. The Our Lady of Grace Knights of Peter Claver fund-raiser steak dinner and dance
takes place in the Our Lady of Grace School gym. The dinner begins at 8 p.m. Guest speaker will be Our Lady of Grace School graduate, Dr. Danielle Gray of Atlanta. The 27th annual Louisiana Catfish Festival
takes place on the grounds of St. Gertrude Catholic Church, located at Louisiana Highway 631 in Des Allemands. Continuous live entertainment will be featured, including Gary T. on Friday, Van Broussard on Saturday and Don Rich on Sunday.
