FCA’s “Run for the Son” attracts 125 participants

LAPLACE- In near record heat 125 brave runners took to the streets for the first annual “Run for the SON,” a five kilometer race and one mile fun run to benefit the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The winners of the 5-K race were Andre Ory and Katie Arcuri, while Brad Millet and Liz Dufrene won the 1 mile fun run. Money raised from the race will help send members of the FCA to the national conference. Immediately after the race was the annual St. Charles Field Day. All area children from kindergarten to sixth grade were invited to attend and compete in a variety of sports games while being assisted by athletes and coaches from St. Charles Catholic High School. The top 10 runners in each race were: 5-K Male: Andre Ory, 19.38; Greg Smith, 20.07; Cris Costantini, 20.26; Cris Arcuri, 21.18; Ken Massett, 22.38; Paul Champagne, 22.41; Joel Murray, 23.01; Brock Anderson, 23.02; Tom Baer, 23.25; Greg “Za” Maurin, 23.27. 5-K Female: Katie Arcuri, 27.02; Trista LaPorte, 27.03; Kim Hidalgo, 27.44; Kelly Cupit, 27.44; Danielle Beard, 28.06; Gina Arcuri, 29.35; Noelle Pilotte, 30.40; Angelle Cupit, 31.22; Dennille Louque, 32.29; Theresa Fisse, 32.65.
