ACOSTA LAPLACE – Debbie A. Acosta, 47, a native and resident of LaPlace, died March 6. She was the mother of Denise Trosclair. She was also the daughter of the late Robert Acosta and Bernice Monaret, stepdaughter of the late Roland Monaret and sister of Chad and R.J. Acosta. She is also survived by one grandchild. Services were March 9 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. DONALDSON NORCO – Mary Ellen Jenkins Donaldson, 65, a native of Bush and resident of Norco, died March 7. She was the wife of the late Roy M. “Cookie” Donaldson Sr. and mother of Debbie Botts, Milda “Sissy” Seal, Kathy Parker, George and Robert Mackenroth and Roy “Bimbo” Donaldson Jr. She was also the sister of Irma Lang, Katie Fedele, Maxine Early and Sammy, Tommy, Bob, Gary and the late Paul, George and Leslie Jenkins. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one grandchild. Services are today at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan. Visitation starts at 8 a.m. JOHNSON PAULINA – Tites Emile Johnson Sr., 65, a native and resident of Gramercy, died March 2. He was the father of Carmen, Vann and Tites Johnson Jr.; Conelly, Jonathan, Jason and Gary Mitzell and the late Reginald Brown. He was also the son of Evella Johnson and the late Isaac Johnson Sr. and brother of Wanda Banks, Murnell Hartton, Iona Sigue, Julia Sabaste, Delores, Odessa and Isaac Johnson Jr. and the late Shirley Aubert. He is also survived by 20 grandchildren. Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, Paulina, with interment at St. Joseph Mausoleum, Paulina. Visitation starts at 9 a.m. LAICHE PRAIRIEVILLE – Leroy Joseph Laiche Sr., 59, a native of Paulina and resident of Gonzales, died March 6. He was the husband of Vesta White Laiche and father of Staci Essam, Christie Mayeux and Sharon, Troy and Leroy Laiche Jr. He was also the son of the late Levy Sr. and Ludvine Theresa Poche Laiche and brother of Gladys McClung, Anna Lea Oubre, Audrey Beavers, Rose Boe, James, Albert and Levy Jr. Laiche, Leola Trosclair and the late Betsy, Raymond and Ferrell Laiche. He is also survived by seven grandchildren. Services were March 9 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Prairieville, with interment at Hope Have Cemetery, Prairieville. LAURENT GONZALES – Roger Alexis Laurent Sr., 84, a native of Edgard, former resident of Gramercy and resident of Gonzales, died March 8. He was the husband of the late Rogerie Laurent, for 62 years, and father of Cynthia Braud and Roger Laurent. He was also the son of the late Leopold and Elodie Laurent and brother of Therese Counts, Elodie “Sue” McPherson and the late Martha Becnel and Stephen, Raleigh, Maurice and Leonce Laurent. He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He was a Gramercy city councilman, a veteran of World War II, active in the Jaycees and American Legion Post 81 for more than 50 years. He was manager at Daigle Pontiac Co. in Gonzales from 1954 to 1981. Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church, Gonzales, with interment at Hope Haven Mausoleum. Visitation starts at 8 a.m. LeBEOUF ST. JAMES – Murry LeBeouf, 92, a native and resident of St. James, died March 6. He was the husband of Leah Folse LeBeouf, for 63 years, and father of Ella Harleaux, Donnaleah Carstarphen, Catherine Moore and Elmo, Larry, Albert and the late Robert LeBeouf. He was also the son of the late Florestan and Ella Tucker LeBeouf and brother of the late Alberta Dennis, Hazel Burke and Albert and Florestan LeBeouf. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was a retired sugar cane farmer. Services are today at noon at St. James Catholic Church, St. James, with interment at the church mausoleum. Visitation starts at 9:30 a.m. MACK LAPLACE – Robert Lee Mack, 48, a resident of LaPlace, died March 2. He was the father of Tierney Moore. He was also the son of Leora S. Mack and the late O.D. Mack Sr. and brother of Katherine Stemly, Joann Reid, Ollie Woodard, Pearlie White and Mary, Willie and the late Hardy and O.D. Mack Jr. Services are today at 11 a.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at New Sarpy Cemetery. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. PRESTON HAHNVILLE – Ezola “Do Da” Preston, 77, a resident of Luling, died March 6. She was the wife of the late Arthur Preston Sr. and mother of Celestine Anderson, Alice Brown, Martha Williams and Olivia, Carolyn, Ezola, Shelia, Marie, Sherman, Sterling, Arthur III, Roosevelt, Lionel, Charles, Hervon and the late Arthur Preston II. She was also the daughter of the late Freddie and Daisey Sims and sister of Geraldine Southall, Celest Jackson, Mary Bovie and Cecile, Aldoris, Selene, Joseph, Oscar, Orley, Ernest, Matthew and Lloyd Bennett. She is also survived by 71 grandchildren, 163 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren. Services are today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Robottom Mortuary, Hahnville, with interment at Bethlehem Cemetery, Hahnville. Visitation starts at 10 a.m. RICHOUX NORCO – Lucille Millet Richoux, 91, a native of Montz and resident of Norco for 66 years, died March 7. She was the wife of the late Lester J. Richoux Sr. and mother of Lois Culhane and Lester Jr. and Ralph Richoux. She was also the daughter of the late Sidney M. and Georgina Hymel Millet and sister of Regina Martin, Daniel Millet and the late Noelie Barbay and Sidney Millet. She is also survived by nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services were March 9 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.
